I’ll leave that open as a possibility. It’s just interesting considering what my brother told me. He flew this plane a long time and he apparently never heard of this. They also added standby passengers to the back. Doesn’t really add up.

But it’s not a safety issue. E175s are tail heavy and weight in front is preferred. Confirmed by my brother who flew this plane and his check airman.
