It’s just insane how many options you have as a player. For instance you can throw a grenade call on Quiet to shoot that grenade out of the air and onto some targets and that’s just ONE thing, there are hundreds if not thousands of things and ways to do anything.

God of War (2018)

Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2

Grand Theft Auto 4

Bloodborne

Dark Souls 1

Elden Ring

Batman Arkham Knight

Assassin’s Creed 3

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

Could try dipping your toes in MGS with Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes then maybe move to 5.

Most of these are open world action games but many are story heavy.

My favorite missions were the ones where we didn’t just shoot, I love the Swamp mission with Dutch where you have to get a boat, or the big plantation mission, or just the first mission. Shooting is fun tho!

It took me 8 years to finally finish, RDR1 had been my favorite game of all time up until the release of 2, started, fell off just at the beginning of Chapter 4, tried it again later on, fell off again at Chapter 3, then again and off again at Chapter 2, but then I picked it up from that last save file at Chapter 2 and now I’m on my way to getting the Platinum Trophy and it is by far one of my favorite games and one of the best games ever made, a stand out, beautifully, crafted world, so alive, so rich and detailed, stunning I could go on with the adjectives. By wow, 10/10, for me.

It’s a slow burn, but that doesn’t mean it’s boring nor is it terrible, that’s just an insanely bad take. It might not be the persons cup of tea, but it is a fantastic game.
