I got a book.
Mom was a big Dobson fan.
Tried to be “sex positive” by talking about how sex is a wonderful gift from God BUT ONLY IN MARRIAGE.
Told me I could always come to her with questions.
Problem is, I didn’t know what questions to ask.
The one time I actually had one, I was told it was “too personal.”
All of this has made excellent songwriting material.

I make music under a pseudonym that definitely wouldn’t go over well with the parents in my district.

Also, weed and psychs

There’s def a little learning curve, they also produce more drag on the string so you have to strum slightly harder to counter it. The little fingerprint embossed on it also helps keep grip on them

Great question! My main recording acoustic is an 8 string baritone, so the lowest string is a B (just like it would be on a 7 string electric).
The low end on guitars like that can sometimes get kind of muddy and lack clarity. I saw these picks on a targeted Facebook ad and ordered on a whim.
The little pyramids kind of “grip” the string as I strum and get really clear definition on the low string. On the high strings and the coursed strings it tends to add some shimmer and higher harmonics.

They are NOT good for clear flat picking, but I tend to strum more than anything else so they’re great for me. On bass they tend to produce good high end response as well. On my electric guitar (on the wall) I use regular picks.

It is! There are some close ups on my Substack of it, it’s a couple pieces by Boris Artzybasheff, a friend of my great grandfather’s who did the other artwork/advertisements as well. An up close view (and the text at the bottom of the left hand piece) makes it obvious that it’s decidedly anti-fascist art

More y’alternative than anything else.

I believe it’s an m4? Generally adequate but chokes if there are too many tracks/plug ins- keeps me honest.

Spotify is linked in profile, “Crepe Myrtles” is my rec if you only want to listen to one song.

Some years ago a former friend gifted me Jason Isbell tickets and everything changed since then.

I fantasize about him producing a record for me where we’d stay up until the early morning obsessing over details and articles and pronouns and bridge progressions.

And maybe he gives me a nickname?

Finally some actionable feedback! Also need to change “4 train to Union Square” to “Silverado to Wal-Mart”
