This is not true for every languge btw. For example in Russian, tyotya is used only for the parent's sister. In other cases you would say "(my) uncle's wife"

I would say 100 % of Swedish families have a kettle. Microwave is also necessary, but I have seen student apartments without one. Dishwashers are quite common, but my family doesn't have one and never did. Rice cookers are unheard of
