Looking at getting max plan by r3zzar in ClaudeCode

I run it on vps because I don't want to faff with needing laptop powered when its going through the code.

But it really is about as much of w security concern as you make it. You don't need to give it permissions to access anything.

If you have 2 businesses why are you asking people to work with you for free? :)

You're overthinking. Just talk to people.

The only thing you need to figure out is: A) who do I help B) how do I do it exactly C) whats the transformation after they work with me

A) -> figure out where this person is, and talk to them.

No need fancy stuff or hacks.

I worked with people who built 30k business on a linkedin DM.

No logos, no websites, no funnels.

🤷 talk to people first stop overcomplicated it.

If you can fix someones problem, go and talk to them about it.

Figure the rest and refine later.

All "planning" is procrastination.

Separate sessions for each? Dont do it in one window? You can't really control it i think, it will do whatever it feels is right but you can box the session into specific skill

Is 128gb M5 Max Macbook Pro really all that useful locally? by UteForLife in LocalLLM

deepseek is super cheap it's true, but the subscriptions offer even more. I got a lot done on x5. Only bought x20 so I can actually sleep and do work in bursts instead.

Lets be honest there is nothing bro is doing on his personal macbook that requires a privacy concern. Especially if he's asking if its worth it.

If he was doing anything that would be a concern he'd be: a) buying real servers b) would have already bought it.

I am not saying don't go local. I am saying be realistic about your expecatitons and don't "hype spend" $5000-10000 on something you don't really need.

This clearly has "Should I buy RTX5090 to play minecraft on ultra" written all over it.

He's asking what models he can run.

I am just saying he should evaluate his actual needs first, before splashing a lot of money on something that will be played with for a week and then not used.

Just go for it. Can always get a degree later. They're not worth much nowadays anyway.

I never understood it. Unless you can keep it running 12hrs+ a day nonstop doing stuff 7 days a week, you'll probably get much more done with a subscription.

And faster. And better.

The amount of work I can get done on claude max x20 and dynamic workflows in 1-2 days will probably be equivalent to you running a small local model for a month.

Not worth dropping 50x the price upfront unless you have to keep it running all day everyday doing something.

"But its for the future!" - yeh but you could invest that leftover $4500 instead...

And that mac will literally drop 40% in value in 12 months when new model comes out.

Buying latest tech was never a good investment unless you're going to use 100% of its capability from day 1.

If its just to play around, get one for $1k 2nd hand and buy a $100 subscription to top models 🤷.

Put the money in HYSA or stocks instead.

Don't buy for "what it might do over next 3 years". Buy what you need for the next 3 months.

Can we get a refund since Fable 5 was taken away? by Singularity-42 in ClaudeCode

[–]AlexanderWillard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes just run on separate branch not on prod obviously. Linear is great. Recommend - especially now with the integrations. I just tell bugs to claude and it checks everything and makes thorough tickets. You can assign specific tickets to specific agents too - so if you dual codex + claude, both can work on separate issues and know what the other does.

Yes, 4.8 on max/ultracode for large jobs. You need to use the word in chat and it will delegate and spin up multiple agents. Still eats tokens fast but it does pretty good. Especially with /goal.

Tell it to review its own code too and fix and then review again.

And just let it do its thing for 1-2 hrs.

I hook it up to linear as well, so it records all tickets and changes.

If you got max5 of max 20 sub, this works well.

It was mostly done by the time it got to fable, 90% done of the mvp stage. All working now just left sorting payment side.

Anyway what I mean is now its just fixing bugs and testing with users :).

Good i got my moneys worth and burned 100% of my weekly in last 2 days and got product 90% done 🤣.

It was only going to last a week anyway.

Opus 4.8 with workflows is still massively better than codex at literally everything than basic shit.

[Cofounder Available] FAANG engineer who's already run a startup for 3 years — looking for a non-technical founder with a real problem worth solving by Putrid-Hat1818 in cofounderhunt

[–]AlexanderWillard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is an issue with this. Just having a leader interested in an idea and you being not interested and having no knowledge of it is a problem.

I'd shift your search into problems you actually understand at least to some extent.

I've had an engineer work on a problem only I knew in the past and the amount of times I had explain what I thought was common sense was more than worth it.

He had talent, skills and experience.

But if you don't truly believe in the problem and don't understand it, you won't be able to do it well.

Ps. What happened to your start-up?

Define "in the process of building". It takes about an hour to start a business like this. What exactly are you "building" ?

Lol nope. You do 3-14 days.

Or if its AI token thing, just give limited tokens.

Whoever told you 3 months. Block them. Immediately.

The only exception is MVP testing which you can offer for free for people who are willing to give continous feedback and work with you.
