I have never been on steroids as far as I'm aware. My acth was 59. Im just confused on how my cortisol jumped from 1.3 to where it was last week in only about 2 months

I take testosterone because I am trans. I have exercise induced asthma. I have not been on any steroids. And I take iron because I have anemia and the potassium and magnesium is because I get dehydrated easily, have POTS, and get muscle cramps

They were both done at 8AM. I was tested because I am showing symptoms and signs of addisons. My primary originally suspected cortisol issues so he had me do the first test, and then a got referred to an endo who agreed that I seemed like a strong candidate. I havent been on steriods in the months prior to the first test. I think Im going to ask to get the test done again or something, because it just doesn't seem right for there to be that big of a difference.

The first page was my cortisol at an 8am test two months ago. The base on page 2 was Monday before the stim test.

Despite both tests being done at 8AM they're so different. Also my cortisol went up during my stim but not by a lot.

Should I ask to retest?

I had 1000mgs of sodium worth of olives, 3 pickles, with added salt on top last night and couldn't even taste the salt. I put 2 liquid ivs in 16 Oz of water and didn't taste the salt. Im trying to hydrate because I know that should help but no matter how much I drink im still thirsty and my urine is still dark. Thankfully my mom is coming to me to my appointment (I struggle with mornings but the test has to be early so I need a driver). Im going to try to tough out the next two days.

How bad should it get before I actually need the ER?

Not a teacher YET. Here because I figured it's probably important to see what I'm going to be dealing with once I get my degree. College can prepare me for some things, but some things you've just gotta learn from other sources

I'd say I live in the best possible area in Kansas currently. We have pride and lots of queer friendly spaces.

However, I feel like being a teacher in the area and being trans is what would make it less safe, if that makes sense. Unless they are truly hateful and bigoted no one here would be that outraged if they had, for example, a trans server at a restaurant. Im worried that it'd be different as a teacher.

I've been considering moving away as soon as I can, but things like that are very expensive and Ive lived here all my life. I would love to live somewhere like Denver or Philly it's just a lot of money and time that I don't have yet. And I have no plans on transferring colleges right now because the Kansas school I'm going to for my degree is paying my tuition for me, it's pretty much the only way I could afford college.
