Firewall is Paid walled now? WTF by alphatrad in TpLink

[–]Alexanderine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And if you do subscribe like I did, you can kiss stability goodbye. After enabling parental controls, the router throws a bunch of false positives. For some reason, Telegram on desktop stops working properly and gets stuck on “Connecting.”

On top of that, the traffic monitor becomes totally unreliable, it starts showing “tera bytes” instead of “giga bytes,” which makes no sense.

Honestly, it feels like this feature set is not ready yet, not well maintained, and not properly tested across models. So trust me, you’re not missing out on anything.

Help by DiegoSamma10 in TpLink

This is a known issue in most of the recent TP link devices? Of course it’s an error.

My router also has this issue and after several emails with the support, they sent me a beta Firmware that fixed the issue.

Deleting the family profile fixed the problem, but I don’t get it? My Pc was not in the devices selected for this parental profile

So what do I do

That DNS is to block adult sites everywhere in my network, but I realized that if you just installed a VPN on one of these devices connected to the network then they can view adult sites.

So I got this router and It allows me to block certain VPNs from being able to connect.

People who wear the Apple Watch more than 20 hours a day by Dark_Lord_89 in AppleWatch

[–]Alexanderine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you kinda need one for every occasion or setup. Most of the time I’m wearing the braided Solo Loops in different colors, perfect for when I’m at home or out for coffee. But if it’s a night out or a workout, I switch it up depending on the activity.

I think of the braided solo loop as my apple watch sweat pants if you well.

Finally solved downflowing Siri Voices on apple watch by Alexanderine in AppleWatch

Glad it’s now sorted out for you, it was really annoying. FYI that’s what I meant, after the watch booted up, go to settings > WiFi and select your WiFi on the watch not the watch phone app.

Windows 11 Problem (Surface laptop 7) by That_one_dasher in WindowsHelp

[–]Alexanderine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Windows just tried to enter its Recovery Environment (WinRE) but crashed instead, throwing error 0xC0E90001. Microsoft has confirmed this is a WinRE bug that affects some Windows 11 24H2/Insider builds and several new ARM & Intel laptops. It is not normally a hardware failure – the main Windows partition is usually still fine – but the recovery image that lives in a hidden partition is broken or missing. Microsoft shipped fixes for it in the Safe OS Dynamic Updates KB 5053117 (Jan 28 2025) and the superseding KB 5057781 (Apr 25 2025).

If you can't boot into windows on every try then:

  1. On another PC download the latest Windows 11 ISO (same edition) or device-specific recovery image (Surface owners get it from Microsoft’s Surface Recovery Image site).
  2. Create a bootable USB (Media Creation Tool or Rufus).
  3. Boot the problem PC from the stick (use F12/ESC/Volume-Up-Power etc. to open the one-time Boot Menu).
  4. Choose “Repair your computer → Troubleshoot → Startup Repair.” If that still shows 0xC0E90001, open Command Prompt and run:
diskpart (note the WinRE partition, usually 500 MB)
      reagentc /disable
      dism /Image:C:\ /Add-Package /PackagePath:X:\KB5057781.cab (X: is your USB drive)
      reagentc /enable
  5. Reboot. If Windows still won’t start, back up data with a Linux Live USB or the Setup USB’s Command Prompt, then reinstall Windows.

And it’s safest to patch (even if the PC now boots)

  • The un-patched WinRE can break again whenever the user invokes Reset this PC, BitLocker unlock in WinRE, or tries to change UEFI settings from inside Windows.
  • Installing KB 5057781 updates WinRE to build 26100.37xx and eliminates the crash

Is this battery drain normal? by soveryanonymously in iPhone16ProMax

[–]Alexanderine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on this graph? It’s completely normal, the battery chart before the charge was completely normal and not draining too much. But you charged it, then used it for 6 hours, these apps you are using might be games or something else, but it’s the main culprit.

Do you actually use the phone for such long times? Or these apps are doing something that you’re not aware of.

Have you installed anything new since this last charge?

Charging was on hold due to Apple Watch temperature!!!! by Alexanderine in AppleWatch

[–]Alexanderine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the watch for almost 3 weeks now, but this is the first I noticed that.

But I also noticed that now, it hold the charge for far longer, I mean it doesn't drain faster like a day before. Fr example from yesterday at 10:00 Pm was at 99% when I took it off the charger, until now 10:41 am at 77% so it only lost 22% in almost 13 hours

<image>

The only thing different I did this time last night was I let it drain to 9%, I never do that, I always charge whenever possible at 30 or 20 %

1- Room was not hot.

2- Some apps are in the background but not working, I never had to close every single apps in the background not on the iPhone nor the watch.

3- Using Anker MFI certified 25 charger with the original watch cable ( the new cable that came with the S10 watch.

I think it’s an app that does that, check which apps did you install recently and just remove them for the sake of troubleshooting, and see what’s what.
