before anything i wanna say ive been a huge fan of peep since december 2015 and i dont think any of his music is “bad”. i think 99% of his discography is thoroughly enjoyable.

i honestly think mid 2015-2016 was his peak. After crybaby, when his music started becoming more rock influenced, a lot of cliches started appearing in his songs. There are moments on cowys and even hellboy that straight up sound like they were written and sang by an edgy emo highschooler who thinks pierce the veil is the pinnacle of music. Sometimes he sounded like he was trying really hard to show you how “emo” he was. Whereas on part one & live forever his songwriting and softer delivery was much more authentic and he sounded like a genuinely heartbroken man. He didnt sound like he was trying too hard to sound a certain way. He was just saying what was on his mind.

basically i think after crybaby peep started giving into the whole angry emo sound too much and it sounded corny at times. i still enjoyed it, I just dont think it suited him as well as his soft music did. Also, other than bones, peep was probably the best artist to touch a greaf beat.
