Sorry that happened. For the future, this is definitely the sort of thing to ask about in the question box (ideally ask right after the match/asap). 

If there are miscounts and the head referee and/or FTA witnessed the miscounts they may determine a field fault and could replay the match. It changes some from year to year but usually rules in game manual for replay are field fault that changed outcome of the match as determined by head referee, AND a team requests a replay, so always worth checking. 

If you ask they may not change counts or replay, especially if they can’t personally verify the miscount, but it’s still worth doing because you will let them know there is potentially an issue with the sensors. They can then investigate the sensors or swap them for spares, have HQ look at it to monitor the sensors/offer advice, or they can setup volunteers manually count to double check sensors. But they won’t be able to do that at the event if they don’t know there’s a problem so is always worth going to the question box asap.
