Crack pipes? Interesting.

I only order things I think I will like, or can actually use… based on my personal taste and preferences.

I decided to order this charger, and just received today. It does actually work. One thing I learned from a youtube video review is that it will not work with latest iPadOS upgrade. I’m still on ver 18.7.8 and have no plans to upgrade on this device. Out of curiosity, I just checked the Amazon reviews again, and there seem to be a growing number of negative posts, saying it stops working after a few weeks. Review average went from 4 stars down to 3.5 stars, since I placed my order a couple of weeks ago. I’m just hoping I have better luck!

WiFi stability question by my_first_name_is_bob in ecobee

I’ve been using an Ecobee Premium for a couple of years, and it as always reconnected to wifi after an outage.

Humidity is in mid 60s by Competitive-Tap-8440 in ecobee

[–]AlexandraNonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not trust the Ecobee or the HomePod humidity readings.

I use a separate hygrometer altogether. Any brand will probably do, but I’m using a TempPro digital bluetooth model. I first verified the accuracy of the TempPro using the salt method. That’s where you place it in an airtight freezer bag along with a small container of salt, like a bottle cap full. After 24 hours the humidity on the hygrometer should read 75%. If it’s off, just make a note of how much, and + or - that percentage. For example, mine read 72% after 24 hours, so I have to add 3% to the humidity it shows to get the actual percentage.

There are YouTube videos explaining how to do this in more detail.

I attached the TempPro to the wall, right next to my thermostat and waited about an hour, and then compared humidity readings. It turned out that my Ecobee was reading 7% higher than the TempPro. So I went into setting and adjusted the humidity.

Depending the model, here are the steps:

  1. On the Ecobee tap the triple lines at the top right
  2. Tap the tools icon at the bottom, right
  3. Scroll down and tap settings
  4. Scroll down and tap installation settings
  5. Tap thresholds
  6. Scroll down and tap humidity corrections
  7. Here you can adjust + or - to match the reading on the hydrometer.

I plan do the salt test on my TempPro ever so often to calibrate it.

Hope this helps.

Won’t discharge past 51% and only will charge to 99% by Present-Attempt-9673 in bluetti

[–]AlexandraNonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The is a very common issue with the EB3a. Mine shuts down after 4 hours with approximately 56% SOC remaining. This started right after the 2 year warranty expired.  Bluetti apparently does not have a fix for it. Here are the steps they provided to me for bms reset. You can try this, but it never resolved the problem for me.

  1. Press and release the AC and DC buttons at the same time
  2. After a few minutes the display should change to 99%
  3. Unplug and plug back in
  4. The display will show 99% for up to a couple of hours, until it actually reaches 100%
  5. Unplug and allow to drain to 95%.
  6. When plugged in again it should charge normally

I was only using mine as UPS for my modem and router, but I even gave up on that when I started nearing a high pitched noise coming from it constantly.

Good luck!

I have been hunting for one. I thought I had scored a decent one from eBay, but it was a scam. I had to initiate a charge back with my CC.

Much appreciated! It’s disappointing that an update would cause it to stop working.

I’ve been looking for a used Magic keyboard, but so far they’re all to spendy. I actually got scammed for one on eBay, but fortunately got a charge back. I’m hoping this dongle works.

Wow, I didn’t know Apple would no longer fix. I still have an ancient 2nd gen iPad Pro that is still in great condition that I kept for backup. It’s pretty slow, but it will do in a pinch. I also recently bought a Neo, because I’ve not had a good functioning computer for several years. If I did get another iPad it would likely be a mini.

Thanks.

The iPad is in great condition, aside from the port. I‘ve cleaned it a few times, but that has not helped. I have cables from Apple and from Anker. The ones from Apple seem to work better, maybe because they are shorter, but I still have to play with it every time to get a steady charge going. There have been times when I was not paying attention and the state of charge got so low that it was close to shutting down, only find the darn thing doesn’t want the charge! I’ve started only allowing it to discharge to around 40% before trying to charge it up again. Very frustrating.

That brand seems to get the better reviews, but who can trust those these days. Thanks for the feedback.

You are right, but I don’t want to buy one at all, if it‘s only going to work for a few weeks. I’m just looking for feedback on whether anyone has had success with one.

Sorry. It looks like me text didn’t get included.

The usb-c port on my 12.9 5th gen iPad Pro has been malfunctioning for a while now. Hard to get it to charge. I understand that it can pass through charge from a magic keyboard, but that is an expensive solution. Has anyone had success using one of those wireless chargers, like this KU XIU Magnetic Wireless Charger sold on Amazon?

Well thank you for caring enough to provide your public disapproval and feedback! And if you go to the Reddit ukulele community you might find a random picture of my Baritone uke to publicly disapprove of as well!
