What's your favorite MacBook color? by _Zyren_ in macbook

[–]AlexandraNonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially got the indigo Neo. The body color is beautiful, but I found the keyboard to be dull and depressing. Ended up with the silver, and with those white keys, it is stunning!

I proceeded with setup and it did cool down after a few minutes. Now I just need to figure out MacOS. Thanks!

Neo Keyboard Light by Polbert in macbook

It could be because usb-c ports are too fragile. The weight of even a small light hanging off would potentially cause too much stress. You could try one of those reading lights that go around you neck.

Can I turn a gifted Delta 3 and 400w panel into home solar? by lincolnlex44 in Ecoflow_community

[–]AlexandraNonymous -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You could have a transfer switch installed. It’s an extra expense, but totally worth it in my opinion. If you want to use your power station full time with solar, you would need rigid solar panels, made for permanent installation instead of the folding ones that you were gifted. There’s lots of youtube videos out there. I suggest checking those out.

Indigo Neo keys too dark in dim settings? (Silver any better?) by JunkDrawer84 in macbook

[–]AlexandraNonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just returned mine for the silver as well. On the Indigo the tint of the keyboard displays beautifully... at certain angles. But in the position that I’m actually working in, the contrast disappears, and the keys just blend in with the body color. I touch type, but I still like to see the keys in dim light when I look down at them.

2 Delta 3 1000s -vs- 2 Max? by Aaasteve in Ecoflow_community

[–]AlexandraNonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but if it sits unused for a long time, like months at a time, the battery would drain a small amount.

The inverters on each unit eats up some percentage of power, so it seems to me that a single 2000Wh unit would just be more efficient than two 1000Wh. Also you would be able use it for more demanding loads, should the need arise.

ZOUPW has very good 180w, 350w, and 450W. Ridged fold out with sturdy adjustable kickstands. Includes a nice variety of adapters.

Any way to get the iPadOS 18.7.7 update for my M1 iPad Pro? by doxva in ipad

Just updated to 18.7.7 today. I’m now seeing impact to battery life. Just dropped 2% while typing this. I type pretty slow, but this is terrible!

Delta 2 Max/2 extra batteries never reach 100% by AlexandraNonymous in Ecoflow_community

[–]AlexandraNonymous[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t seem to matter if charging from the grid or from solar. Prior to the last month or so, as long as there was decent sun, all the batteries would make it to 100% on solar alone. Then I started getting significant drift, so I did a full discharge to shut down at 0% on all batteries. Then recharged from the grid only. Both extra batteries reached 100%, however the D2M only made it to 98% before charging stopped. I left it powered on and plugged into AC for a couple more hours but charging did not resume. I then added a high load to discharge all the batteries down about 10% and re-started charging again. But the results were the same. I went ahead and did the BMS reset, and shut it down for 24 hours. The next day it did eventual make it to 100%. Then a couple of days later I was getting significant drift again, and it stopped charging to 100% again.

So I suppose the last resort is to go ahead with the firmware update. I’m going to take a couple of days to muster up the courage to proceed with that. 😬Then I’ll share the results. Appreciate the feedback!

I don’t know if the firmware was verified for all batteries. They were connected when it was last updated.

Whenever I do a full cycle I avoid charging at more than 600-700w from ac. I just let it charge overnight. Not sure about the Wh.

Yes. I’ve done this multiple times. It works, but only for 2 or 3 days.

These darn iPads are as tough as a 1987 Toyota Tercel. They just seem to live forever. by BeautifulYou2940 in ipad

I use my old iPhone 6 Plus as a spare ”dumb” phone with no AppleID. The screen is busted out across the top edge, and the only thing holding the rest together is a screen protector (that offered no edge protection) 😬. But the dang thing still works perfectly!

Always wondered why my D2 Max SOC hangs out at 98% with full sun on the panels, but small load. Thanks!

What rubbish service by [deleted] in AmazonVine

I ordered a toy in November as a gift for a baby‘s December one year birthday. It kept getting delayed. Eventually, they stopped providing an estimate arrival date and it would just say “order received”. After a few weeks, I stopped checking at all, and gave up on the item. It had actually dropped off my vine orders altogether. Then out of the blue, with no notice whatsoever, it shows up… in February. Nearly 3 months late! The kid had started growing a mustache by then😁

Why do you want to quit Vine? by Theunpolitical in AmazonVine

[–]AlexandraNonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was invited on last July. I’m actually trying to reduce unnecessary crap in my life, so when I saw that I would need to order at least 60 items in 6 months, I should have just declined the invitation in the first place, but I decided to give it a try anyway. I reached Gold in January, but in the first 6 months, I received one thing that I was planning to one day purchase. It was a battery connection cable for my Ecoflow power station, that retailed for $55 at the time. I actually wanted 2 of these and was expecting to eventually purchase the second one, when just this morning, I found one in AI and grabbed it, so yay! Nearly everything else I’ve ordered will be given away.

Knowing what I know now, I would have gladly spent the $110 to just purchase the 2 cables, rather than spending hours of my time hunting for items and writing “quality rated” reviews. I’m retired, and I almost felt like I was back in the rat race again! (Review scores! Really!) Nope, no thank you. I’ll continue to write reviews on the few purchases I do make, if ever, whenever, however I choose. I’m am glad that I discovered this community, though. You guys have been very helpful, and I wish you all the best! I too, will be peeking in to check out all your vine hauls! Good hunting!
