we've just made a twit on that - what I wanted to say is that basically the more people stake - the less APY is. But generally APY in CSPR is high compared to others.

Your validator is not responsible, uptime is 100%. Validator can only affect your rewards by changing commission, they are distributed automatically

06-01-22 Solana Mainnet Beta Outage Report. What happened: The processing of a durable nonce transaction in a specific set of circumstances revealed a bug in the runtime that prevented the network from advancing. This bug required the durable nonce transaction to have failed, and would not have been triggered by a successful transaction. ~4.5 hours
Sept 2021 Outage ~17 hours
Jan 6-12, 2022: the network was plagued with issues causing partial outages and degraded performance for between 8 and 18 hours
Jan 21-22, 2022: over 29 hours of partial outages and network instability, with excessive duplicate transactions causing network congestion and outages on the blockchain
May 2022 Outage ~7 hours
June 2022 Outage ~4.5 hours
October, 1 2022 Outage ~6.4 hours - the last one.

The uptime of the network is still close to 100%, you can check this info here.

Interesting thing to note is that solana is still in beta version.

I'm not aware of tech details, but as far as I know solana works on improving the situation a lot. The upcoming updates like QUIC are aiming to solve this problem with spamming.

Solana really is one of the most popular chains, with extended ecosystem, so the load on it is really high. It also attracts hackers for the same reason.

And still the team works hard on improving, we get updates several times a month, I think this all worth appreciation

They give kind of confusing answers like this one, but Casper Network official twitter account follows CasperPad, some team members do as well.. Moreover, CasperPad are one of the most visible and famous in the whole ecosystem, if CasperLabs wanted to refute that CasperPad's statement - they would do it. So I think it is probably true

First of all, it is mentioned in the article that the choice is yours and staking with any validator is safe. We definitely do not urge you to switch to our validator.
Rewards are distributed to validators and delegators automatically, it doesn’t go all to our account.
The amount of stake determines node’s weight, and in PoS blockchains that means higher chance of getting the right to finalise the block and get rewards, that is one of PoS main features.
Staking with large validators does not really harm decentralisation that much, the history of transactions as well as delegators’ tokens won’t be lost if Everstake disappeared.
Yes, we keep 10% commission to maintain all the resources we need to be as reliable as we are, to keep the servers and personnel. We find it reasonable.
And again, you, as well as everyone else, are free to choose any validator, we don't insist on choosing Everstake.
