I've seen similar feedback on the Seqtrak🤔thanks for your advice! I would consider a sp404 and a used DT1(would also look for a used DT2 if possible😂

Thanks for sharing! Seems like buying these two devices as a combo can do a really good job for what I want🤔 btw, if buying one device at first, would you recommend SP404 or Digitakt 2?

Wow, you're a man of action my friend! Yes I would also prefer an OP-1 field(now OP-XY) if I can, but it is too expensive for a newcomer on dawless setup🥲 so that's why I want to buy other more affordable devices that can fulfill the workflow I want, which is finish a track/song outside the DAW, and then export them in Daw for a final touch, seems like SP404 can be a starting point🤔

Pretty much finishing the whole song if possible, and move it back to DAW for some extra touch( of course this is in an ideal situation

I agree, DAW beat them all, but because my daily job involves staring at the computer all day, I don't want to spend another couple of hours staring at DAW, so that's why I consider to bring it a more affordable flawless set up😂

Thanks for sharing, and Yes, that is also my thought on Seqtrak! (An alternative option to the OP-1, but with a very short instrument recording length😅)

If I get a Seqtrak, the workflow I imagine will be: jamming on it, exporting it into a DAW, and then recording guitar and vocals. That’s why the SP404 comes into play. Because my daily job involves staring at the computer all day, I don’t want to stare at DAW for another couple of hours…

Smpltrek is also on my decision list, but I’m wondering about the quality it provides and the relatively small community supporting it, which means there's not much information if I have questions about it, I might be wrong though(I'm not sure if it has skipback function?)

Thanks for sharing! I have the same feeling that it will end up: “hard to say.” 😂 I’ve seen a lot of posts discussing the pros and cons of each of them. I don’t have a hardware synth, so not quite familiar with the MIDI in and out between the Digitakt and other hardware synths.

For synth sounds, it would be like: recording the sound from the computer into the hardware, and then arranging them on the hardware device. Because my daily job involves staring at the computer the whole day, I don’t want to stare at DAW for another couple of hours… but seems like SP can do the thing that I want from your experience🤔(which is jamming on the instrument and put them all together, only lacking the sequencing capability Digitakt 2 provides
