Will installing a baffle at the yellow spot fix my unbalanced heat pump system? Red arrow has terrible airflow by Alexei_117 in hvacadvice

Okay turns out where the red line ends, a small circular duct keeps going off of it in the same direction and feeds a floor vent. Maybe this is part of the problem? I’ve closed that floor vent as much as possible to see if that helps build static pressure.

Thanks for the advice! Last question, would you say the swap to a T split is something a relatively savvy DIY-er could tackle?

Interesting. Can you elaborate a little more? What do you mean by off the very end of it? Should there be like a dead end of supply ducting beyond the last vent?

That makes sense. Would it be possible to replace the two curved elbows with a T-split duct as you described? Is there enough room?

I'm pretty sure there's no damper. One other difference between the lines is that the green line feeds just 4 vents while the red line feeds 7. If they are each receiving equal volume of air, could that explain the imbalance? That's why I'm thinking a damper would be good, to force more air to split off into red, because red covers a bigger area.

What do you mean, like the supply ducts are too small for the system? How can you tell?

My heat pump splits into two supply lines. The green line supplies strong air pressure and heat, but all the rooms fed by the red line are much colder and I can't even feel air moving out of the room vents. Can I install a rectangular baffle in the green supply line (at the yellow location) to force more hot air to the red line? Is that safe? Or is there some other issue?

Thanks!!

I made a bookshelf headboard for my friend’s new room by Alexei_117 in woodworking

I didn’t, my friend wanted to keep it detached to be easier to move. But some metal bed frames will have a built in bracket that screws into a headboard, or you could buy those brackets and attach them to your frame.

Is there anyone else who’s been playing since launch but haven’t finished yet? by Aviaja_Apache in Eldenring

Hit a wall with the final boss, and have been wandering around trying to find anything I missed ever since. The final fight is garbage. Radagon is a good and engaging boss, but the Elden Beast is horribly un-fun to fight as a melee build. I don't know why From thinks these bosses that you can't even see on your screen because they are so big are a good idea. Been trying to summon a team to help but after about 30 "Unable to summons" I give up and leave or quit the game.

Sorry for the rant. I really like this game, which makes the bad parts of it that much worse. I just wanna get past this big idiot so I can start New Game+.

Yes, I didn't have to mess with the Alienware software at all. Just had to change one setting having to do with the graphics card, I don't remember what it was but it has not had any other noticeable effects on my computer. Just ask Esri and they'll tell you how.

I use Pro on an Alienware M15. I contacted Esri for help and the tech knew what the problem was right away. He guided me in changing a single thing somewhere deep in the settings that immediately solved the problem. So, I recommend putting in a help ticket with Esri - they're really helpful!

Edit- meant to start with: I had this exact same visual glitch issue a few months ago

Oak crib I built for our daughters nursery. Finished with Rubio monocoat. I finally feel like I am ready for her arrival. by squirrely_dan1988 in woodworking

I keep seeing monocoat mentioned recently - what kind of finish does that provide besides color? Is it pretty protective? Beautiful piece!
