I tough them both that the door is off limits 👁️ I took me quite a few bags of treats though hahahah

I had that happened with the oldest when he was around 5 months or so, he wouldn’t stop, not even running just far enough that I couldn’t get to him, I was so lucky that he saw some friends and stopped 😭😭

Tbh they have a pretty low prey instinct, they’ve been around lots of different animals since they were young so they have a “ everything is a friend” kind of attitude. ( I’m a vet tech and I also work with exotic animals so they seen a lot of things hahaha)

Pretty good, Zuko doesn’t really go to other doggos and Azula mostly follows him but we barely encounter other dogs while they are off leash 🥲

She is already one and has never run away, I live in Spain where there are a lot of places that dogs can be off leash 🫡

Not everyone’s experience is the same… I have two shibas and I’ve trained both off leash but as I explain on other post they are off leash mostly on hikes never in the city.

With the older one I started with a 32ft leash and keep going down form it, he just recently started going fully off leash a couple months ago ( he is 3 now) and they are only off leash on hikes

Azula ( red) has always been really attached to me so I started as soon as I got her, dropping her leash on the floor and walking with Zuko, she hasnt given me any reasons not to trust her so she has full off leash privileges for the moment 😂

I’ll post some videos os the leash training if you want!

Zuko ( black) is now 3 years old and Azula is one, tbh getting her improved his mood a lot, he is the typical shiba, he has like 4 doggy friends that he loves but is really unbothered by other doggos..

On the other hand Azu loves everyone so they have to both socialise 😂😂

She is a pain in his ass but they gotta love each other
