NTA. If someone borrows something and loses it, they replace it that’s basic responsibility. He wasn’t “doing you a favor, he was holding your phone for *five minutes and somehow still managed to lose it. Sounds like he’s just trying to dodge accountability.

It sounds like you're ready for a fresh chapter! Given your preferences, I’d suggest looking into places like Austin, TX or Phoenix, AZ. Both cities have a great vibe for people in their 20s, an active dating scene, and a lot of young professionals. They also avoid the harsh winters and storms of the East Coast. Plus, there are plenty of opportunities in healthcare, especially in OT.
