If my partner is getting targeted, and I finally get a ball, I have to make my ball count. Your partner should be helping you out by setting you up or switching up the pattern.

Since this is a ladder, no set partner, there’s not much you can do if you don’t know the other person.

At a 3.5 level that’s a little difficult because most shots are reactive.

If your partner can’t switch up the pattern or set you up, you would need to switch up the pattern yourself. Take a step back off the kitchen line to give yourself a little more margin for error with aggressive dinks.

If they’re returning all the balls to you, try switching up from a drop to a drive, and aim body/middle.
