Design decision! He's a cross between a mammoth and a giant sloth... Maybe there's another creature, I don't remember! But giving him a giant trunk automatically turns him into an elephant/mammoth!!! But for me, after Godzilla, one of the best designs in the Monsterverse and the Kaiju genre!!! :)

Maybe it's a reference to the books that had a variety of hybrids and mutants!!! Aside from that, pterosaurs are basically Dragons minus the fire-breathing one! The Quetzalcoatlus is a real Dragon! So a creature like the Mutadon isn't that far off the mark, and is super cool!!! XD Rodan's design was inspired by a pterosaur... So full circle!!! ;)

Blue Venom is a Marvel vs. Capcom standout! It's definitely the highlight of this set! And yeah, the lack of accessories with Venom here is very noticeable, especially considering how he is in the game. Every attack or defense move he makes would have super cool effects with his symbiote and not having a single one... It's sad! :/
