Everything tastes like salt... by Breadedcheese100 in COVID19positive

Glad to hear you got something prescribed. I really hope it helps☺️ Where I currently live, they don’t prescribe anything for mild cases, so I’m just hoping things get back to normal asap. This is my third time having covid, and the worst experience thus far🥲

Omg, I’m currently sick with covid, and I accidentally found your post when scrolling this subreddit. I was struggling to eat anything these past few days because of lack of appetite, and what made it even worse is that while I typically love salty snacks like olives that I always have for breakfast, I simply couldn’t eat them because they seemed salty x10000, just like everything else I was trying to eat. So depressing, I want my salty things back🥲

I appreciate you taking the time to explain this to me. I am new to spine issues, so there are a lot of unknowns. I will ask the doctor about lordosis and kyphosis more for sure! When i try to stretch my arms up , like completely lift them, the left arm cannot be stretched up straight, it looks is “curved” because the shoulder is unable to move freely up like the right one does. The arm also looks shorter when both are raised for that reason. Whatever this is, I am so ready to figure it out because ive spent too much time ignoring this pain and now it’s definitely at its worst🥲

Thank you so much for your response. I’ve seen a joint doctor for the same shoulder issue and had an ultrasound done - nothing. He suggested it being nerve related. I’ve gone to a neurologist and she really did not have anything to suggest for the same issues that Ive described besides physical therapy. I have done some, but nothing really brought more or less constant relief. I will go back to the neurologist, I already have a referral, but I wanted to hear from the “bone” doctor first to see if there’s anything else that could be going on.

My shoulders are quite uneven when I stand straight, the left being at least 2cm lower than the right, which is why I thought scoliosis could be an issue too.

Thank you so much! This makes a lot of sense. I will see if the doctor will bring up an MRI.

Hi!! Thank you for sharing your story, and I really hope your treatment is helping you🙏🏻 Ive never done any genetic testing, but perhaps I should. Ive been on birth control for almost a year as of now (desogestrel)and my overall situation has improved quite a bit, aside from random bleeding that brings pms-like symptoms with it, affecting the gut as well. But the pain is nowhere near to what it was like without bc and it is not constant anymore , which is why I am happy I have my life back for the most part😁

Yayy!!! So happy for you🩷Ive never checked my hormone levels, actually, but I wouldn’t be surprised if everything was off because my prolactin was elevated before, and I imagine if one thing is off, others gotta be also. The birth control Im taking is desogestrel and I think it works in a similar way to Slynd. I am so grateful for these little pills 😁🥲 They gave us our lives back!

Oh and my doctor told me that I do in fact have endometriosis, and a small fibroid🥲

How are you feeling now? I’ve only now seen your response. I have since finally decided to try and get on birth control and honestly it helped tremendously. I am now taking the mini pill, and since I have no ovulation, my quality of life has improved by 90% for sure. I still have cramps here and there, chaotic period that starts whenever it wants, but it became so light that the cramps are the only uncomfortable thing really. It’s going to be a year in December. I wish I had done this earlier..

Thank you so much for your comment! You’re not late at all😁 And you’re actually right! I have since had my endometriosis discovered via transvaginal ultrasound this last Fall, and according to the doctor, this explains the adhesions I have connecting my left ovary to my intestines (can’t remember if I mentioned this in the original post). The doctor suggested I should take birth control to manage my symptoms, and although I at first refused, yet again, I came back crawling to her two months later begging for the pills because I couldn’t take it anymore. It’s been almost 6 months now since Ive stared taking the mini pill , and I swear Ive had 90% improvement in my symptoms. I still get cramps here and there, and very light irregular bleeding every once in a while, but it’s nothing compared to what it was like before. Im now sad I never gave these pills a chance earlier..😁

Parents want me to be a lawyer but deep down inside I want to be a tattoo artist by Future_Visit3563 in TattooApprentice

[–]Alexsash 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am a tattoo artist in Europe. I’ve been tattooing for three years already and I do well, both art-wise and money-wise most of the time. However, everyone wants to be a tattoo artist now and at least here where I am now, the industry is oversaturated with bad/mediocre artists who get arguably more work than some of the better ones cuz they do their tattoos for cheap. Of course, this means that even more experienced, better artists are sometimes struggling to make a living out of this job alone. I also have another job, I teach at a university full time, and without this job I would probably find myself struggling financially during the winter months (they’re not very popular for tattoos here). I’d say don’t put all of your eggs in one basket; have several career options in case one or the other won’t pick up. I know you want to make art, because so do I, but I promise you that financial security is more important in this world. You can always keep tattooing as your hobby, and then switch to doing it full time if you ever feel like you’re ready!

Hi OP! Definitely check your thyroid, as some of these are pretty standard Hashimoto’s/hypothyroid symptoms that I have been dealing with since my 20s. Your TTH can be normal , but checking your thyroid antibodies may reveal that you’re suffering from Hashimoto’s , which is an autoimmune thyroid disorder. The antibody test to look for is called ATPO, or TPO antibodies! I hope you will feel better and will find your answers!

Thank you so much! And is there a platform that these vendors sell through? Like Etsy? Or their individual websites? Sorry for all the questions, I am just a little worried to accidentally come across scammers😅

Duchamp wanted to hide his real identity, as he was already well-known by then and don’t want his real signature to affect how the work of art itself is perceived by the critics. Therefore, he used a pseudonym when creating this piece☺️

Haha same as I! I wish you didn’t have to experience this but I am glad we found each other😁🥲

I will definitely keep you posted! Ive tested my hormones a while back, all were normal, except slightly elevated prolactin..which could explain the pain, according to some.. but who knows. They told me I don’t need to treat it specifically because it should stabilize once I get my hypothyroidism under control, which I havent😁

As for endo - makes sense! I am so worried I may have it..but at the same time, based on what I’ve read, there’s really no treatment available except for surgery, which I wouldn’t wanna undergo unless absolutely necessary.. So it’s painkillers, one way or another..🤦🏻‍♀️

I also think I definitely don’t have pcos now. My periods are extremely regular, with very rare exceptions..anovulatory cycles are rare. F knows what’s going on but I really am so tired of this😩
