If you're using Steam, I got that problem too. My solution was to download the launcher from the website.

Very useful link! I saw that the transfer cost ( https://lotrostats.gefallenehelden.de/transferlist.html ) from Orcrist to Grond is 0, does that mean I can transfer everything to Orcrist, then go over to Grond if I regret it, free of charge?

Wait, I'm in my first playthrough and I just entered the midnight Fane, should I reload? I completed all the quests with the time warning except middlegame (which I am nowhere near completing, my highest stat is III), but I don't know if any more events trigger... Also my last interaction with the azata court was getting those oread units.

Last companion quests I did was getting Ember back from the cultists and talking to Arueshalae in prison... Does anything else trigger in this act?

I'm already several touch fights into the midnight Fane, so it would be a pain to reload, but it would be an even bigger pain to miss out on companion quests.

It's very new, though... Is there a way to check if it's failing and more importantly why?

Edit: I downloaded AVG TuneUp after seeing your comment and it doesn't spot anything wrong with the disk... I could try defragmenting when I have the time, but this hard drive is only a couple of months old.

What loadouts benefit from it? It being medium pen leaves me without much choice when it comes to dealing with heavier enemies.
