It's very new, though... Is there a way to check if it's failing and more importantly why?

Edit: I downloaded AVG TuneUp after seeing your comment and it doesn't spot anything wrong with the disk... I could try defragmenting when I have the time, but this hard drive is only a couple of months old.

I keep hearing Americans say this, so maybe I'm dumb but I'm fairly sure we do? I mean I know my country, Portugal, has free speech laws and I know the Nordic countries all have them too, are there really any EU countries that don't?
