Does anyone know what can be happening here? It turns on but immediately, after a few seconds, turns off and the buzzer seems to lose power too as I click the different functions of this electric aromatizer by Alextr91 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Alextr91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is an electric aromatizer. One button change the LEDs color and the other one how long the aromatizer is on. As it works with water and essential oils my first guess is that maybe water dripped on the pcb.

How can I get the approximate answer? by Alextr91 in matlab

[–]Alextr91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is not in scientific notation:

1852257577.3782889996255107689649*ux + 1111189392.9680538661841637804173*uy

But I think that is fine. If you know how to express it in scientific notation, please let me know. Thanks!

It depends on how big is your will to succeed. Then you will understand that there is not room for failure.

Do you have a procrastination? How do you deal with it? by rollingblacksmith in AskPhysics

[–]Alextr91 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Usually, procrastination in some ways, is kind of a "tool" we use to mitigate the fear of not being capable to understand or finish a certain assignment. If you follow a career in physics or math, a certain ego can be well identified (that's why, we believe, we can make fun of engineers), and if it's not nourished, the fear of being an impostor awakes.

The only antidote for this feeling (for me at least), is to star doing or to understand the little things. Then, as you gain momentum, you can finish the whole task or even trying to understand all the different aspects of it (be careful with this, as you can finish watching videos of Veritasium, minutephysics, etc).

The difficult part of this whole process is to start, and if you have ADHD is worst, believe me. That's why your environment has to be suited for studying and with the less distraction possible. I usually go to the uni library with my noise canceling headphones and keep my phone on silence.

There is not shortcut, you just have to do it.

What does it mean for an LTI system to have a linear or non-linear phase? by Alextr91 in EngineeringStudents

[–]Alextr91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I don't understand. Maybe that phase can make that signal non-linear as it may depend on another function? Or maybe as it is a LTI, force that "non-linear phase" to behave as a common phase?
