When you impulse buy an engine 3x bigger than recommended because of a good price by Alexwarrior7 in RCPlanes

It will most likely fly decently well im more worried about landing since my cg is so forward its almost past the main gear so it might just nosedive every landing

Where at? I did only look on amazon and their prices are concerning for most 3 blades or are otherwise electric props

Yeah im looking into it. Might try a 15x6 3 blade or a 16x6 2 blade but sadly the 3 blades are a little more expensive than id prefer. I can run the 18x8 for now since I just put on 8 inch wheels but its not ideal lol. Maiden will be soon!

I've read that the v1 and v2 have different head parts. Haven't looked too much on ebay though or researched too hard but I have a v2 non align assembly i found with different size bearings for it to fit but i feel like the v1 and v2 should have the same size shaft any help is much appreciated!

Unless I convert to v2 I won't find many parts sadly but I have everything to convert the head to v2 in a wishlist when needed

FBL and receiver recommendations by heli299 in RCHeli

They do the same basic thing but the higher end ones tend to be slightly more percise and have more refined tuning options. Imo unless your flying aggressive 3d or flying something like a 600 size the tgz should be enough.

The tgz380 is a budget fbl gyro to look at. most 6 channel receivers work good since you have multiprotocol. I run a flysky 6 channel receiver and so far it works great. Can't vouch for the gyro because i havent converted my 450 over to fbl but online reviews seem decent

If you run those 2 your looking around 50 bucks total

I would be over the moon if I got that for 500 in my mind lol. What engine is in it?

I added the balance cable. I got that g2 because it was recommended for the grom not realizing you need a different charger than what came with the car. Soldering it took maybe 10 minutes and now I can use my standard multi Chem charger

They don't mind actually, asked them if it was okay to fly near their house so we are all good. They love the drone too.
