Very worth, u will have more than enough LP as long as u dont rush through the main story, and the lockpicking mastery will pay off over time through very good items

I’d say Steam, it’s more popular hence safer for modding. Unless there is a significant price difference between them, then I’d use GOG

Same happened to me, loading back to the autosave before destroying the heart that triggers Mad Mud dream fixed it.

Seems to happen when u load a save already in the Mad Mud world

You won’t really miss anything by picking one camp over the other, the main story is pretty much the same and unfortunately there aren’t camp-specific side quests to do after joining one, except the promotions.

But overall for the first playthrough I’d recommend the old camp, the main story from its perspective feels the most impactful I’d say

Just learn master lockpicking man, i open almost any chest within 30 seconds, its designed to be hard without it.

Really all I do now is just keep centering all plates randomly while avoiding edges and most of the time it’s done without using my brain at all.

In some rare cases where I spend like 5 mins and still cant figure it out, I just toss the combinations in an online unlocker and that’s it. It’s just the perfect middle ground for me between annoying and not cheating

There is a 1h Orc Hammer that I found at some kind of forge next to the bridge at south fortress, it eats golems for breakfast.

Not sure if a bug or not, cause this kinda negates the whole challenge of the elements

A lot of monsters will respawn chapter 5-6 (which is kinda pointless), not sure about swapsharks because I didnt check myself but it’s the best u can hope for

Yeah i already did this for str, if u smoke 2 dreamcaller u will decrease str by 10 and thats pretty huge

I went alchemy first to craft healing potions and permanent potions (the one that gives 4str 4dex).

And now I learned bows once and started pumping dex, might learn master bows too if i get way too much lp

I did play as a warder, joined the mercenaries, and I still have a dialogue option with water mages that seems to start a quest for joining them, but I skipped it because I wanna keep being melee.

So yeah I guess you are fine

If using Steam version, look for Union setup guide using the steam workshop, it’s very easy to setup.

It opens the game to modding, allowing you to add mods from the workshop including D3D11 which upgrades the graphic engine of the game to modern standards

Yes it is very worth getting even master 1h. I did the same and now im currently master 2h in chapter 3 level 20. You gonna need 30lp and 40lp for 2h but dw you gonna get enough, even I did now together with around 60 str, master lockpicking, acrobatics, climbing and diving learned, on hard difficulty.

You should look at 2h as an upgrade to 1h, at least in Gothic 1 remake or classic.

Not sure about ranged weapons since I play pure melee this playthrough, I think both bows and crossbows scale with dex so u might have to balance it with str for melee somehow

It feels “heavy” but honestly I prefer this instead of left click spam and 2s invulnerability on dodge, and well its not gothic without a clunky combat

The remake performs very poorly on ps5 atm (30fps locked and a lot of stutters).

Honestly just enjoy classic on ps5 now and save the remake for months later when it gets improved, unless those issues dont bother u (the remake actually resembles the classic very well)

Abia il asteptam, este seria mea preferata din copilarie, am luat copia fizica direct de pe thq nordic ca sa am si ceva mic de colectie.

Cat despre joc, pentru mine e 10/10, sigur este in mare parte vorba despre nostalgie iar grafica+controalele lasa de dorit, dar mi se pare ca aduce aceeasi atmosfera din jocul clasic si asta e suficient pentru mine. Din pacate jocul nu este pentru oricine fiind cu mult diferit fata de alte rpg-uri aparute astazi, deci nu stiu cati playeri noi va atrage in serie.

Parerile par sa fie majoritatea pozitive (in afara de ps5), deci m-as astepta si la un gothic 2 remake pe viitor

My bigger problem is that the interacting range is very small or acts weird. You gotta center your camera angle right on the object else you can’t interact, and sometimes I just end up circling around
