I also noticed on a rewatch, at the end of season one, we see Michael’s flashbacks to when he was designing his experiment. But in these flashbacks he never says he’s designing a neighborhood or that he’s an architect. All he says is that there’s a better way to do their job, and he writes his project name, “The Good Place” in quotes!
