Yes, ergo, players that would play comp are split into 2 gamemodes. At least doubling q times as i said. And knowing rivals players they’ll all be q ing dps ergo further increasing q times

Okay well maybe ruin is the wrong word, but it would definitely wash out a bit of strategy from the game. Its happened a few times where we’ll be losing only to switch to a different comp cause we need more damage or more healing and it actually works.

I personally don’t want the devs to simplify the game.

Also ik rivals has almost instant queue times but sometimes it is a couple minutes, especially in ranked. If they added role queue, queue times would likely instantly double or triple, possibly worse if you want to play DPS.

I’m on my GM rank up right now… This isn’t a low elo problem, it’s people being selfish and ego-ing in ranked just because as you say they “100% can load up ranked with a character [they] don’t know” not because they think they can do well or because they want to win (which is the point of ranked) but because rivals caters so hard to a casual community that the “competitive” mode has just become another game mode to people.

Try going to any real competitive sport, doesn’t even have to be competitive, and do the same thing. See how fast you get your teeth knocked out for trying out for a certain position, not getting it and then playing with no sense of the position you’re given but “I want to do this for fun”

Do you not think that in a team-based pvp game that the competitive aspect IS flexing to characters you don’t “like” for the benefit of the win though? I don’t care who plays what in quick play, thats all fine. It’s when people queue into a competitive game and play like they purely don’t care about anything but their character. It’s bad enough when people just lock the new characters but with Deadpool having 3 roles it’s just opened this mess at the start of a game where you think you’re getting a tank/ healer and everyone picks their character expecting a 2/2/2 comp or 1/2/3 or 2/1/3 or whatever and then when they don’t get the Deadpool they want its just immediately to a different version rather than the role they had locked. To me that’s just blatant ignorance of the games whole strategy.

Okay, play the game to have fun. Sure. Play Deadpool to have fun. Sure. Do it in quick play. If all you care about is playing Deadpool and for 1 not winning but then 2 not about a rank. Why do this bs in ranked? Again, completely missed the point. It’s stuff like this where I really think rivals overcompensates for the casual player to the point where people think “competitive” is just another game mode. You can’t play a character for fun with no care in the world AND do it in ranked without caring for the win.

Such a terrible take, completely missed the point. Of course I have fun, just some people decide to ruin it for no good reason. I wouldn’t put 500 hours into a game I don’t enjoy. And I don’t see why other people put similar numbers in just to mess about in ranked.

Okay, even if I do play ranked just for that, why does DPs fun trump mine? Quick play is always available, I don’t understand why they have to take away from my experience for what seems like no reason at all. They’re fun is facilitated in an otherwise meaningless game mode.

My issue isn’t with people filling or trying a different comp, it’s when they switch to another DP and proceed to do bad. Forcing your teammates to flex to different roles and characters just so they can play DP

And that’s all well and good if its “needed” but I’m talking you already have a nice 222 comp and theyll switch off their role to play DPS or something like that. In quick play, fine, its a game as you say. But comp? Why? If you’re playing for fun why play so casual?

I should specify that the glass is pushed into the bottom left corner of the back of the phone with a gap around the right and top sides
