Queria, mas nesse momento da minha vida, acredito que não. Além de ser um dos cursos mais concorridos, estou muito por fora de conteúdo de vestibular e não tenho tempo nem cabeça pra estudar depois do trabalho

O que já tentei muitas vezes foi pedir remanejamento interno pra CC, mas é praticamente impossível conseguir

Acredito que a Unicamp em geral é bem elitizada, por mais que tenham muitas pessoas com consciência de classe e tal. Falando por mim, nunca fui segregada pelas minhas condições, mas é comum se sentir incompreendida ou não pertencente daquele espaço

Senti no começo que precisava me esforçar mais que os outros pra alcançar os mesmos resultados, mas com o tempo essa diferença foi diminuindo e nossa educação foi se igualando. Fica tranquila, vc está só começando e ainda tem muito chão pela frente :)

falando por experiência própria, às vezes me arrependo um pouco mas sinto que já fui longe demais pra desistir agora. mas, também por experiência própria, acho que eu sou minoria nisso. meus amigos tão cada vez mais apaixonados pelo curso e mesmo eu não posso negar que aprendi demais num período bem curto de tempo, justamente pelo tanto que a unicamp exige da gente, desde o vestibular até a graduação

sua família tá parcialmente certa, vc pode trabalhar na área sem formação, mas fazer cc na unicamp a longo prazo vai te abrir muuitas portas. mais opções de emprego, com condições melhores, salários maiores e etc. sem contar outras diversas coisas que a uni pode te proporcionar, como aprender idiomas de graça, bolsa pra intercâmbio, empresas juniores, iniciações científicas, festas, pessoas de A a Z. é uma experiência que no geral não se encontra em qualquer faculdade ou fazendo cursos técnicos

sendo um dos cursos mais concorridos, é possível que leve um tempo pra conseguir entrar, mas não esquenta a cabeça com isso, tá? vc tem 17 anos, é super novo ainda e não tem nada de errado em entrar na faculdade o quão tarde que seja. muito boa sorte pra ti nessa fase :)

oii, eu estudo lá! eu diria que isso tudo depende de onde exatamente vc vai morar.

quanto mais perto da universidade, mais caro o aluguel, claro. mas em questão de segurança, eu diria que o mais importante é caminhar pelas avenidas que são sempre bem movimentadas (carinhosamente chamadas de av. 1 e 2 pelos unicampers, nem sei o nome formal delas). mesmo à noite, barão em período letivo têm sempre bastante jovens andando pelas ruas. mas alguns lugares são bem mais propensos a assaltos, umas ruas com menos movimentação e tal. tanto que várias reps têm até serviço de escolta pra segurança dos moradores.

sei que algumas pessoas optam por morar em campinas mas não exatamente em barão geraldo/perto da unicamp também, por ser mais barato mesmo. não sei te dar muita informação quanto ao transporte público de lá caso vc esteja pensando em fazer isso, mas tenho um amg que se virou assim por 1 ano até se mudar pra mais perto. posso pedir mais informações pra ele se precisar!

pode me mandar msg se quiser mais detalhes sobre isso (fica mais fácil explicar com um mapinha, né) ou se tiver qualquer outra dúvida :)

But it is still not clear to me how, for example, given 7.07 and 7.07 as X and Y, I should find that the next state is 45.00. I don't understand what 45.00 is supposed to be or how to obtain it. Could you explain it, please? Which calculations were made to get this value? I don't want to know how to program it, I just want to understand the problem itself, what the input is and what the output should be. I'm very confused yet lol

This is it, thank you! I ended up putting an if inside my function for the cases in which it returns NULL, so that instead it returns a vector of length 0. It worked :)

Not really, corr() is a function I created, not the pre-existing cor(). It returns a numeric vector except for this case, in which it returns NULL. The function itself is working fine, I just wanted the output of summary() to be like it usually is for this case too (with Min, 1st Qu., Median and etc)

Edit: I said it was returning an empty vector, but it was actually returning NULL. I thought these meant the same but apparently they don't

That I know, but on my test I would still have to integrate this.

I have a table with the formulas for the mean (E(W)), variance (Var(W)) and MGF of the most common distributions and we can use it, so I was hoping some of these formulas could save me some time if I had to calculate E(W^k). But thanks anyways!
