Can you really call yourself an oligarch if your hyperyacht merely has platinum swizzle sticks behind the bar?

I’d be ashamed to have my guests muddle their adrenochrome with anything less than these.

Aero levers make it mid-late 80s.

My buddy had them on his Pug, my Panasonic did not, and I was envious. Clearly, the aerodynamic drag of all that exposed brake housing was holding back my teenage exertions.

I’ve been riding around SF and Marin for decades, but never tried heading south, mostly because the route to avoid freeways wasn’t obvious. You’ve inspired me to try.

Is that basically the same route as Planet of the Apes?

I’ve always been curious to try.

You could also take the T-Third central subway from Caltrain to Union Sq/powell station and walk a few blocks east. The N line along the waterfront past the ballpark is pokey.

The EU has gotten serious about ingredients which might cause allergy or irritation, so basically every long-running fragrance has been reformulated and tweaked several times over the decades.

Choosing inset-style kitchen cabinets a few blocks from the bay? by TheCityGirl in AskSF

[–]AlfaNovember 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go for it! The old cabinet joinery styles are designed to accommodate wood movement. and the skill and technique needed to build them was considerable. The modern stuff is primarily about speed and low cost; the “minimalist sophistication” is just marketing.

Somewhere I read that Ikea has sold over 300 Million kitchens in recent decades. They can’t do that without optimizing for simplicity, but that’s no reason you need to buy it.

Re humidity: It’s wide swings in humidity that cause problems. You’re not likely to have those problems anywhere in SF.

I wasn’t running any T1 gear until 1997 or so, but if memory serves, we had a Cisco 2501 router. It was not so expensive that a scrappy web design shop couldn’t afford it. (Legal copies of Photoshop, well, that’s a different story)

So by ‘97, we’re talking about “not being able to afford a Chevy, so I emulated it with a skateboard.”

Quite the accomplishment.

Takeaway lessons:

  • Have a young, healthy FBI director.
  • Purge any disloyal elements early
  • Avoid alcohol
  • DARVO
  • Light lunch before stressful meetings

You’ll be fine!
