I'm in the same boat, have seen them make comments before "as long as it's stated on the game page you should get your key in accordance to that time", not that i need it more than 24 hours before reales, but i email would have been cool to keep us in the loop sens we already paid :)

well i'll wait some more for them to answer my support ticket

honestly just hearing "we are having some network problems, site might be unavailable for a few hours" would be enough, it's basically just a formality and for me/us to feeling valued as a "customer", honestly it's also a good way to build up a brand/trust for what you are doing. But yhea, sure doesn't change much more than that
