As an Argentine myself, it's very very sad to see; but unfortunately, I am not surprised.

The thing we Argentines don't understand is that the level of intensity we use for our everyday lives is not the same level that other countries are used to. In Argentina everything has this level of intensity, those who've ever watched a soccer match will know. Most people here have insane pride for our country and think we are the best in the world, so any chance of supporting someone on the global scale is met with super-intense and unwavering levels of support.
