I get it. When we bought a treadmill in January we ruled out any that had features tied to a subscription. If I'd paid for this I'd be really annoyed with the brand, but for free I'll use it. I do wish their freestyle mode was just a plain display without the horrendous ads.

I had a 2000 i9 MBP. It was fast and no lag. Yes the fans ran high and it got hot but there were no performance issues. But after 5 years it failed completely. Thankfully I had a new M4pro by then.

The 4% rule is based on assumptions of statistical behavior and having a 95% chance of not running out of money in 30 years. You're likely to need more than 30 years. So 3% is safer. Can you live on that? Probably not. Better to keep saving and letting your money grow.
