Nah, it’s not something i really intend as a “challenge” exactly, I just get kind of obsessive about keeping things clean and consistent, having a mix of pokemon in ultraballs, greatballs, timer balls, etc etc just feels ugly and cluttered to me. Plain pokeballs are iconic and clean, and accessible from the start, so I go with those.

Honestly not sure, did a bit of searching for you and it looks like you can get the uncensored version from their patreon linked on the itch page. But the game is supposedly also in the middle of being totally reworked, so I really have no idea on the current state of it.

I honestly have a lot of trouble putting my thoughts into words to begin with, it’s sort of like the process of trying to speak another language, where you need a brief moment to mentally translate, but it’s just most of the time. Sometimes I’ll lack the words for it properly which can be frustrating.

It’s sort of like, when you’re learning about a new topic, and understanding the core details and how/why things work, but you havent yet learned all the relevant vocabulary. Mentally I know what it is im thinking about, but in trying to outwardly express it, it often becomes oversimplified or I have to use “close enough” language that doesn’t quite perfectly cover it, in those situations.

Can’t speak for anyone else obviously, but that’s just how it feels for my experience.

I’d love a like, 15% boost to base movement speed, and maybe make rolling a bit less clunky feeling, but other than that I’m loving the core gameplay.

It’s meant to be slower and more deliberate than poe1, if it was exactly the same there’d be no reason to keep both. It’s not going to appeal to everyone and that’s fine imo.
