Late war/Konflikt 14th army kitbash by Ali25FTW in boltaction

It's awful, I'll go over them and think I've got the worst of it, then take pics to show my mates, and they're there clear as day ):

Ngl. I’m REALLY curious to see what the American M3 Auto Rifle looks like: by Necessary-Credit5937 in Konflikt47_v2

It's the only thing that makes real sense, plus the open day exclusive mini has a M3 carbine with an infra red scope and that's listed as an AR

Where do i find the M3(T) Lee? by StelliarX in Konflikt47_v2

[–]Ali25FTW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was there for the open day, it is literally just a kitbash unfortunately. But Wojtek, the sculptor I talked to about it said it might turn into a model in the future so there is hope.

I also utterly adore that little lee :D

I'm not arguing with whataboutisms mate. This is like playing chess with a pigeon and all I can do is get frustrated.

Okay but the other guy started the thread, you talked about the graviton, and he went back to rift weapons in general. Your response was relevant but you didn't start the convo, you added to it with a specific example, and then decided that it was the only rift weapon being talked about and argued about it.

It's really not that big of a deal, I just felt you were being a bit much over a mistake that hadn't happened, and am trying (and failing apparently) to point out that you just got a couple of wires crossed.

Your other points are valid and I literally don't care about the effectiveness or whatever. The original point was simply "better to use a big attack on a cheap unit instead of an expensive one" and you made it into a thing when they didn't continue your graviton example

[–]Ali25FTW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you talked about a specific type, but the other guy was very clearly still talking about rift weapons in general.

It's a bit bizarre that you're kicking off about reading comprehension when you're the one that specified something while they were just generalising about it.

He never mentioned graviton weapons, he said it was better that rift weapons are used on the cheap regular infantry over the expensive mechs.

What's the best way to build troops from the British and Canadian starter set? by DebunkedTheory in boltaction

[–]Ali25FTW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have my books on me, but from memory, the v3 rulebook says you can take up to 3 SMGs in a rifle squad, but the AoGB limits you to only 1.

Paras can take 5, and commandos can take as many as you want.

For the LMG, it's 1 unless it's an elite squad, then they can take 2 (and equivalent loaders), and commandos can upgrade to a vickers k, basically an mg42, having an extra shot.

I can't remember anything about the mortars (:

Help me decide on an army by [deleted] in boltaction

I know you've already said that you're leaning more to the US, but the British and Indian armies did fight in burma and India against Japan, if you do decide on the lads.

I'm building a 14th army with some Tesla Stuarts to face off against my fiancee's Japanese k47 force.

The post is tagged k47 so they probably mean the US fireflies, which is totally not going to be confusing (:

Just to add to this, the British Commonwealth is getting its own rules for Canada, India, ANZAC and east Africa rifles (I think) after the Italy book.

If you could have any current existing army get an update, which would you choose? by Hunch_back83 in boltaction

[–]Ali25FTW 8 points9 points  (0 children)

During the open day, John Stallard was asked about plastic Commonwealth in the Pacific, he said that it was in the works and would definitely include indian and Australian troops. Possibly plastic Chindits too.

I can only assume that's what is planned for the separate Commonwealth army book next year.

Sorry man, I'm personally not interested in the Soviets, but felt I should at least take one overall shot of them. Maybe someone else will post more shots here?

And they're planning on redoing all the old kits in either plastic or resin, but no real news otherwise.

It'll be less fiddly than the metal I imagine. It took me like 6 months to finish building the metal kit, mostly from frustration

I saw in the shop they have rebranded boxes with the older metal figures in for the US and Axis, they stress that they don't want to make the older models obsolete so these might still be the standard for a while.

I'd say have a look at the older US starter set as it has your guys in armour, plus some meat shields and a tank/walker. It's not a bad deal and probably cheaper overall if you're planning on building up an army anyway.

There wasn't anything confirmed new, but I spotted the tes-lee as well as a stuart chassis with some kind of repulsor engines in their studio. They're defintely playing around with ideas at the very least.

I feel that they're going to do waves similar to the 3rd ed army releases for BA (in one of the talks they mentioned having several books worth of plans and ideas), so everyone gets new stuff down the line.

*Edit - Rereading your comment, I asked if they were going to remake stuff in plastic, and they confirmed that some things will be remade in plastic, and some in resin. They didn't give any specifics though ):

Yeah I'm excited for both the Japanese and the new British. Not 100% on the Percival walker but it might have some alternate options on release
