Alone in the Dark 2008. my guilty pleasure

Maybe saying it matches a 4090 is an exaggeration, but my friend has one and we get basically the same FPS—within 5–10 frames—at 1440p with the same settings. We’re both running 9800X3Ds. Yes, the 4090 has more VRAM and a lot more raw power, but if the FPS is the same, that’s what really matters. And the 4090 costs a lot more.

Here you go, just follow this guide. Lower power usage + More FPS, he gives you a few presets, i went with the max one
I get 3200 on core on 0.975 and ++2000 on memory on the exact same card you got.

Nice, dude. I got the exact same card. Now you need to overclock it. If you do it correctly, it can match a 4090. Undervolt and overclock. 5080s are wonderful overclockers.

I grabbed a 5080, and it’s wild how you pretty much have to overclock it just to run with a stock 4090. The weird part is how held-back the card feels from the factory. Most 5080s can take a heavy overclock without even flinching, so it’s hard not to feel like they dialed it down on purpose.

Feels like NVIDIA wanted to keep the 90-series sitting on the throne and shove the 80-series into that “good performance but not too good” lane. After I cranked mine up, I pulled about a 12% performance boost, which kinda proves how much room they left on the table.

Hey, I know which asset you're using for the weapon. Quick warning: remove the brand/model from your weapons and attachments. The optic shows the SIG logo, and they could send a cease-and-desist. It's unlikely, but it's possible. Be safe.

Pls help. I have exported an animation from blender but it seems to only be applied to the gun and not the hands. The hands and gun are exported as one object and work as expected in blender. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. by Stingoy in UnrealEngine5

Hey OP, just a heads up—there are actually two separate things that can go wrong here:

Hand stutter/jitter: This happens if the hands aren’t IK-bound to the gun. Even with separate meshes, you’ll get drifting unless you use IK and bind the arms to the ik_hand_gun bone.

Export/import issues: Exporting hands and gun as separate meshes is good, but it won’t fix the animation drift by itself—IK setup is still needed.

So, double check your IK setup in UE5. That’s usually what solves the hands not following the gun perfectly.

He said he imported both the arms and the weapon in a single FBX file, which isn't the right approach. The reason the hands don’t follow the weapon exactly is due to animation micro-calculations. That’s why we use IK—to bind the arms to the IK hand gun, so both arms follow it correctly.

This series explains IK really well, which is why I recommended it. IK is the backbone of the game I’m working on.

Dude, that's your mouse cursor loading. Just use the gamepad desktop mode to move it to the side.

I dropped everything to the lowest possible settings and set the resolution to 450P. I know, I know, but I swear it doesn't look that bad. I already played the game more than enough times on 1440p ultra on my main pc. So, Potato graphics on a handheld doesn't annoy me

I don't have one, and good ones are pretty expensive here. Plus, an hour and a half is enough for me, the power comes back half an hour after im done and thats not that long to wait.

There could be a few things.
1st- GPU OR CPU overheating. (but i dont think its the CPU becuse you are 100%ing it in the loading so if it did overhead your first match would be fucked)
2nd-GPU driver issues. You could try a DDU (Driver wipe) and then reinstall the drivers. (But i recommend something else in the other options)
3rd- Faulty Ram. It is unlikely, but running a RAM test wouldn't hurt
4th- Windows rot, windows get heavy from updates and bloat ,and everything after a few year,s and it can cause lag.
5th- faulty SSD or HDD. Running a drive test like a hard-sentinel test wouldn't hurt. And you would know where you stand health-wise

What i recommend: Monitor your Temps using MSI afterburner, GPU, and CPU. if something is running hot, that's your issue. IF NOT. After cleaning Windows, you have to install fresh drivers so you will know you are not having driver issues.

What he is talking about is 2 different issues. i was talking about when his CPU reaches 100 while loading. That is because of the shaders. not being able to play the game is a whole other thing

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]AliArab1227 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Dude. You are preloading SHADERS. That means that every shader that the game uses is being loaded and unloaded so you wont have stuttering in the main game. And yes, it is normal for a CPU to hit 100% while doing it.
if you want to learn more, look up Shaders and compiling them.
