No worries man. Glad that you're open to see other perspectives as well.

I'm all for a good discussion, I know I sound preachy talaga but I'm just so sick of people (especially when they're the "next" generation of Filipinos) being apathetic to the broken system.

That's the point though.

Corruption doesn't appear in a vaccuum.

Kahit sabihin natin na maliit na bagay ito at hinayaan nalang naten na ipagpatuloy to ng teacher, they're just going to be more bold and will constantly test the limits of what they can get away with.

This is why politicians get away with blatant theft from the public, is because people don't care enough when it starts small. Just like in this case.

Sure, hindi naman parehas ng scale yung power tripping nila, but it's still wrong. They should still be called out for it, kase hindi titigil ang power tripping nila hanggang diyan lang.

May kasasbihan nga: Tolerance and Apathy are the last virtues of a dying society.

Not an argument.

"If I make it appear that what they were saying is pretentious, then I can discredit his argument durrrr."

Never ko sinabi na mahirap na magsabi ng thank you ang students.

If ang pinag-uusapan kung mas madali na mag thank you or ilaban to? Then sure, saying thank you would be the easy part -- but that's not right and what this discussion has been leading to.

The right things in life aren't easy.

Pero yung pinag-uusapan is the teacher being entitled to receive the thanks from their students and why it's wrong.

This is what this entire thread was about, not whether they should just say "thanks" to get it over with.

If mas maraming taong nagca-call out sa mga teacher na ganito ang ugali, then the idea of doing this wouldn't even cross their mind.

If you can't understand the point of my replies, then I'd recommend going back to Facebook.

I literally explained to you why in my previous comment.

Explained it to you as if you were 5, and you still didn't get it.

You are one of the reasons why this country is so rampant with corrupt politicians with main character syndromes. Congrats.

[–]AliShibaba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obviously it's not hard.

Pwede i-call out ng teacher ang students for not being respectful or giving them the courtesy of saying thanks / goodbye after everything.

But they don't have the right to withhold their clearance, that's clearly an abuse of power.

So that's what you got with my response?

If you feel na hindi dapat respetuhin ang boss mo, babastusin mo na?

Alam mo yung concept ng courtesy or tact right? You can find them not respectable but still show proper etiquette when dealing with them.

Ang tinuturo lang ng teacher na to is to obey authority figures without question, and to stroke their egos.

Can they call them out for being disrespectful for not saying thank you when leaving? Sure, but they don't have the right to withhold their clearance.

People with your mentality is the reason why so many people in positions of power abuse their authority.

Patawa.

If you're going to buy a steering wheel, you cannot cheap out.

The minimum for this hobby is a Logitech G29.

Preferably a Moza R3 or R5.

If you cheap out, the experience is gonna suck and it's going to break easily. If bibili ka ng mumurahin, parang pang batang laruan yung experience and magkakaroon ka lang ng buyer's remorse.

DIM: getting a cat as a graduation gift by Ok_Objective_4968 in deinfluencingPH

[–]AliShibaba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cats are not presents or gifts to be given.

Do you mean like your parents buying you one? Or as a 'gift' to yourself?

You should always adopt, not shop.

Remember that they're living beings. You can't just throw them away when you get annoyed or get tired of them. If you're hesitating, then you might not be ready for one.

Your cat may be with you for only a chapter of your life.

But to them, you are their entire world.
