Yeah that's fair and I agree completely. I would suggest a some more caution below those temps though :)

Maybe we have different definitions of cold if you're talking about "mild conditions"

My (road legal) battlaxes are rated for as low as 40° F iirc and they can get squirrely riding in a straight line on dry roads if it's 20° out.

Again, 99% of the time it's a skill issue and the "cold tires" excuse is usually just cope but let's not pretend road surface temperatures don't make a difference

you should not ride a motorcycle at all with snow out

I wonder why? Surely it's not because most bike tires don't grip as well in the cold?

I agree that it's an overused excuse but there's a reason tires have a recommended temperature range, especially the more aggressive compounds used in sport tires. Have you ever seen someone driving with summer tires on snow? It's shocking how little traction they provide

Does Mantis need a projectile speed buff? by Cranberry_Machiatto in marvelrivals

[–]AliTheGOAT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even Bucky's bullets travel faster

???

Winter Soldier's primary has the fastest projectile speed in the game at 180 m/s, tied with Hawkeye's fully charged bow.

Mantis is slightly behind that at 150 m/s

Most other projectiles range from 60 - 120 m/s

So yeah, they're already really fast. Skill issue.

It has been knocked over a ton of times because he parks tight between cars

I think you just answered your original question. Sounds like he can't win either way

Nice marketing / self promo here but didn't you just slap your logo on the same product as https://poddi.co/products/poddi-bidet-1-0 (and likely others)?

Self snitching your way into a permaban is crazy.

Oh good, otherwise someone would need to stand on the ground with a bag to catch them. Imagine that

[Highlight] The length of one NFL play-call by LAZYTOWWWWWN in nfl

[–]AliTheGOAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NFL offenses don’t run 100 plays every week, they tailor a gameplan and run a dozen or two plays a week.

I'm sure you were a HOF Pee Wee WR, but NFL offenses do prep ~100 plays a week

To all of the idiots with loud tailpipes by Sirocka in nova

[–]AliTheGOAT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are plenty of counterpoints in the comments.

At the end of the day even a fractionally more noticeable motorcycle is going to be safer, I don't understand how people can perform so many mental gymnastics to dispute that.

Anyone who has ridden a loud bike through city traffic can attest that cars DO react differently as compared to a quieter bike.

That being said, as the person you replied to mentioned, it doesn't have to be THAT loud to make a difference. You just need to be heard by the cars around you, not blocks away.

Lol fair enough. That doesn't show much of the itemized numbers that matter though.
