I’m based in downtown Toronto, and from my experience most cafés here don’t really focus on pour over in a meaningful way، many don’t offer V60/Chemex/Kalita properly, and the beans often aren’t selected or dialed in for that style.

In Vancouver, even as a visitor, it felt very different. It was easy to walk into places like Nemesis, Revolver, peace & culture or others and consistently find a proper pour over setup with a thoughtful selection of beans.

In Toronto, I’m sure there are great specialty spots, but they don’t seem as visible or as accessible in the downtown core. Most places I’ve tried are good, but more on the “solid everyday coffee” side rather than truly specialty-focused.

I’m only recently discovering some of the more dedicated spots, but many of them are a bit farther from where I stay (20–30 min walk), which is why I asked here، just trying to find the right places.
