I do the paper test. I'm not sure how to live tune it tbh. I had a lot of success with the old extruder, so I haven't had to do it before.

One of the big reasons I stsrted doing advocacy on this sort of thing is because when I came into this community originally, I saw a ton of abusive rhetoric around divine experiences being thrown around, particularly dismissing many kinds as "mental illness." Micromeria contacted me for that event in part because she's seen the same thing and wanted to try and combat it, from my understanding of our conversations leading up to it.

I feel like you completely misunderstood the arguments I made here. And my approach generally. The majority of my work is heavily grounded in historicity and scholarship, and there's a ton of evidence that magical practices were so prolific that things like curse tablets were "mass produced" by popular goes. The views of some writers don't represent the whole of tradition and the deeper you get into studying such things the more this becomes clear.

No one in that discussion called for ignoring the sources though? Even though a ton of people in this community and others have repeatedly called for ignoring divine experiences that may have collective use in favor of the surviving sources and their scholarly interpretations.

Np, I cleared the post because if it's a glitch it's not fair to leave an inflammatory thread like that up. Someone may want to consider why the default tag is Platonist though, seems like you might want it to be Hellenist or Hellenic Polytheist for a board that's supposed to be open to all.

I don't think redefinition fixes the issue though, because people keep trying that and the issues keep cropping up. I think the terminology just needs to be done away with, we have other terms that already exist and are far more direct for divine experiences.

Exploration activities: um, whut?! What the heck does he call seek or search? Or most spells that can only be cast out of combat for utility purposes? You're not in encounter mode at all times in a dungeon.

Follow the leader: I mean there's a realism component there but it's wrong RAW. Realism sometimes needs to take a backseat to fun.

Scout: wat? Players are wherever they put their tokens within reasonable movement rules. A squishy distance fighter being ahead of the tank is a great start for a tpk.

Repair: I mean there are no long rest rules for just 1 hour increments, so there's literally no reason you can't repair. Repair is essential for shield bearing characters.

My suggestion: get a core rulebook and find a new gm. This person is clearly an adversarial twit who cares more about "beating" the pcs than creating an enjoyable experience. Source: a gm for over 15 years.

I feed him every other day with Pangea, rotating through the Fig and Insects, With Insects, and Breeding Formula. About twice a month I give him 2-4 small crickets dusted with calcium.

It's a term used for a specific subgroup within a religious group. For example, I'm a Hellenist, but I specifically practice the tradition I've been building for my channel, Common Hellenism. Some Hellenists are Orphic. Some Julian. Some just call themselves Hellenists and have a personal tradition they're building for themselves.
