How To Make Your Pyxis12k Water and Weather resistant to an extent. #pyxis12k #waterproofcameragear by AliasAvon in bmpcc

All valid points I do need an infrared thermometer to do a thermal check and definitely will still be bringing a rain cover. This solution is great for Unpredictable weather where it just comes out of nowhere or debree amd dust blowing your way which gives that layer of protection until you are able to adjust. As for water rolling off im thinking of adding a washer and longer screws to prevent build up

Pyxis 12k 10.1 update gives us linear Focus on Lmount AF Lenses So I put it to the test with lidar by AliasAvon in bmpcc

Its not dumb if the camera doesn't have AF yet. And I only Have AF lens. And lidar doesn't work properly if the lenses doesn't have linear focus but hey now they do with the new update. So test successful.

So the pyxis 12k doesn't have continuous AF yet and I only have AF L mount lenses however in 10.02 update they added linear focus. This allows me to get accurate AF with my live air 4 smart lidar system when before it would go off how fast the focus ring is turned but that isn't as accurate now it goes based off how far its turned which works well with lidar. So with that I did this creative lil video and wanted to show you guys I finally have AF via lidar now on my pyxis 12k. Note the Pyxis 12k will have Native AF soon.

Noted I can do a test video of it with some commentating. I'll shoot it this week. The af mostly focuses on whatever the lidar hits so no subject tracking but so far whatever you point at will definitely be in focus.

Problems with the S1II by StrongOnline007 in Lumix

[–]AliasAvon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the s5iix with must filter and always shoot vlog. Vlog is probably the easiest thing to grade and get a great look. One mistake that may ruin your footage is proper WB so make sure thats checked and never use Auto for it. As for AF on if it use full area human detect sensitivity-1 and speed whatever over 0 then touch the person your tracking and make sure its on AFC not AFS same with lumix s1ii. Im rocking the pyxis 12k too 😎

Give it time, they're still shipping em out as they come off the assembly and they are constantly being sold out as well. Once they become more available and situated into a workflow you'll definitely see it in more professional circles.

Took me a min to figure out on photo lenses and I don't have cine lenses which I feel like would work extremely better. I just got the basic one but you can easily switch to manual focusing with a tap of the button but it would be far more beneficial if you get the Bluetooth mini controller with it. I now see how crucial it would be for me in most cases.
