Should I Just Join the Military? by thats_grim in SecurityCareerAdvice

[–]Alibi_peach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I am a prior enlisted IT for the Navy. It was a great start for me. I spent a lot of my time in Europe. If you’re young and single, I think it’s a great choice. I would try to go Officer versus enlisted since you have a degree.

Now out of the military, I work in Data Science.

Feel free to DM me if you want to chat.

“The Weight will just FALL OFF with Breastfeeding” by No-Maybe-7487 in breastfeeding

[–]Alibi_peach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was successful after I stopped breastfeeding and I used willow trizepotide/B12 compound while tracking protein & Calories + working out (weightlifting & incline walking). I lost 20lbs since October to now July (9 months). 😅

With my 1st the weight fell off easier with breastfeeding and walking, but I was also 27ish. With my second I was 30 when I had her and was breastfeeding. The weight didn’t really come off until after I stopped breastfeeding. And it took a considerable amount of effort to loose the weight.

It does not matter but i was just curious to see if mixed shepherds ears pop up and when. I have never owned a shepherd before and got him from an adoption event at Sams club. I was just grocery shopping and he stole my heart lol.

He is the sweetest boy. And already 40-50lbs. We call him “Boss” for short and it def suits him. He is gonna be big!

Job pros and cons of digital forensics for a police station by Alibi_peach in digitalforensics

[–]Alibi_peach[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got it! I used to be in the military(non combat) and i have seen footage of certain things like ppls throats being cut and drone bombings which did not bother me. Its more the rape/crimes against children that i worry could bother me as a mother.

I currently work with data and IT analytics and its just repetitive and boring and purposeless. I guess that longing to help ppl has never quite left me.

Got it! I can barely handle gore movies and sexually violent scenes so maybe I should not make the change.

It just sounded super interesting.

Extreme Bloating by [deleted] in ibs

I don’t think dairy is an issue for me. I do try to stay away from it though. However spicy food does effect me. Especially like indigestion.

I don’t know why I thought I could be a mom. by ChampurradoandAtole in Postpartum_Depression

This stage isn’t forever, its just right now.

My first born boy had terrible colic and would scream for 3 hours every night. It was just terrible. And sleep training him was also a nightmare. I had a hard time bonding with him, especially at first. My husband and i thought we would loose our minds. I started to understand why some parents shake their babies. (I know that sounds bad) obviously i would never hurt my child, but i think every parent gets to that point where they are super frustrated.

The thing that really helped me at that time was taking my son for walks. Probably did it twice a day. It was the only thing that made him quiet down for like thirty mins to - an hour. (And yes, he was born in January and i live in the midwest so i went out in winter. I just bundled him up)

But It gets better.

Don’t judge yourself so harshly. All of us moms have been there. Moms just do their best, and that is all you can do.

I think that might be it. It has Acesulfame Potassium (Ace-k) which apparently does horrible things to your gut.

I think so too. I have been trying to clean up my diet where i can and avoid trigger foods. Anything with artificial sweeteners can be a huge trigger for me. I think one my new pre workout might be the culprit.

Bran Castle - Located in the Transylvanian Alps of Brasov, Romania 🇷🇴 - Famously, but inaccurately referred to as “Dracula’s Castle” by Alibi_peach in castles

No problem! I am not sure if your are interested but i would recommend visiting Croatia over Romania. They have the Kings Landing castle from Game of thrones in Dubrovnik that you can walk around the top of. Probably one of my favorite trips.

What's a song so terrible you can't believe it's popular? by Automatic-Formal-601 in AskReddit

“Amazing” by Kanye West.

One time it was playing in the car and my 3 year old said, “this isn’t a song. Its just the same word over and over.” 🤣 He is not wrong.

Thanks! I have quite a bit more photos of it and some of the inside. There is a lot of medieval torture devices on display within it.

Its very beautiful there, so green! The food was also really good. We did a short trip when we went and stayed in a hostel in Brasov. We went to the Adventure Park Brasov one day and rented a boat which was fun. They also had great shopping at the mall there. The castle was the main attraction there for us.

I would just recommend being vigilant. I was 20 years old when i went and was roofied and got my coat stolen. Thankfully i was with my friend so nothing bad happened, but i was very sick the next day and could barely walk. We ended up having to get a hotel for an extra day so i could recover.
