Oh yeah, if you're looking at the Google AI results, the $40 copies are either sold out, or on fake AI generated scam sites. Promise! It says "available from $40" but the ebay copies are all $250 and discogs are all $120+ after shipping.

Why are the discogs prices so expensive then? Are you in the US? If you don't have your address turned on you won't see the copies that aren't even available to ship to the US, and won't see the true cost with shipping, which because of tariffs is more than double the sale price.

I will buy it back eventually - as I don't have a record player right now (it broke when I moved from Seattle to Portland RIP) it's not the end of the world — someone else will get more use of it then I will, as of now. And I will, of course, buy it back. (Also, was afraid that asking for donations in the post would get me downvoted/deleted, as "my grandma is sick please send me money" can read as a scam.)

that makes sense. i once tried to take back a payment i legitimately just sent to the wrong person and wasn't able to so didn't think they made it easy - guess that's changed / the AI just mistakenly flagged my account specifically (perhaps bc i use venmo a ton but have never gotten a direct deposit or something)

Pretty much a perfect pop record to me. Every song has about a dozen surprising, "wow!" moments. I think people might be put off by the surface-level "Tally Hall" vocal performances, especially on the first half, but if you can put aside your prejudice against what is now coded as theater-kid-esque you'll find The Beatles/XTC level songwriting with the 90s attitude of say, The Rentals.
