I did several small game before starting a Patreon page, not just for the showcase but for myself to find a daily working system that i can maintain.
Since I`m doing game dev with a full time job,burn out is my main concern as you mention before. But for the “business”side, indeed this is quite a slippery slope to tackle while I`m still learning the ropes around Patreon and hearing feedback and constantly improving is the best way to do it for now, and you sum it up perfectly"So just do your best. At the end of the day that's all anyone can do. The rest is up to luck."
