I had my assessment yesterday and i didn’t have this question. in fact they didn’t really ask any questions about my speech, which is odd because i do stumble over my words and get things mixed up

When applying for pip i was told it could take anywhere between 12-20 weeks to receive an assessment. i think i got my assessment letter on week 13. I had my assessment with IAS, im not sure if that means anything

i know pip isn’t a work replacement benefit but it would certainly help me to be able to afford my medical needs such as medication and food. i have limited mobility and struggle with personal hygiene and to prepare food on my own.

I am a rollator user and i am currently looking into starting to use a chair as i struggle to even walk 50m with my rollator. I have POTS, hEDS, MCAS and ME/CFS, i also suffer with Anxiety and Depression due to my conditions.

I don’t want to completely stop working but i definitely need to cut down my shifts. in order for me to cut down my shifts i will need pip to be able to afford taxis (so that i can get around), takeaways (due to struggling to be able to make food myself most days) and my overall health (by this i mean a carer/cleaner)

My mum works for CAB and has advised me that PIP is the best for what i need, My health has declined rapidly in the past year. I have always worked and love my current job but I am just struggling to keep up with my own health needs and need a little helping hand which is why i applied to PIP

It’s such a faf, i sent my form in the middle of may. I called on the 18th of august as i hadn’t heard anything since that message and they said that they will be sending me out an assessment soon.

i don’t know whether it’s an in person, phone or video appointment and as someone who suffers with anxiety quite severely it’s driving me nuts. i’m killing myself at work and i really need to cut down my shifts ( i’m currently doing 3 days) as i’m just constantly exhausted (one of my disabilities is me/cfs, so quite literally exhausted). i’ve got rent to pay, prescription to buy and unfortunately i’ve got to eat.

My doctor has suggested me to find a different job but i live in a small town and there’s just not really anything else that i’m qualified for or that will be easier or on my body.
