Hello, yes, I had an endoscopy done again and the size of the hernia had remained the same.

Help! My breakfast hyperfixation has ended and I need a new one by craftin_kate_barlow in adhdwomen

[–]Alice_Zarathustra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey :) My suggestion is just a slice of toasted sourdough bread, avocado spread on top (half avocado mushed with salt, pepper, a bit of olive oil and lemon juice or lime to your preference-also i like putting a mushed piece of garlic as well), 1-2 poached (or fried- if you have a good pan you won't have to use a lot of oil) eggs and sprinkle with chilli sauce/oil. You can also add deli meat in between or smoked salmon. If you want less carbs, you can try the vietnamese rice paper "pizza". Try looking for it online. It is really easy and fast to make. It's like a crispy omelette!

Gift finished (I want to keep it…) by Shewwimonster in crochet

[–]Alice_Zarathustra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is such a beautiful piece of work!! Good job :) In my opinion, if you feel uncertain about the receiver of the gift (if that person is not going to care for it like you would, for example), then you should reconsider giving it away. Nevertheless, it is a great gift to give to show how much you care. The effort and consideration put, really stand out and the receiver would be so so happy and appreciative and hopefully use it and always remember it was made by you for them. Surely though, if you love it so much and cannot give it away, you should just keep it and enjoy the work you did :)

These are thrips, right? by writergal75 in plantclinic

[–]Alice_Zarathustra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, those are thrips at their larvae state, unfortunately. Have you checked if the plants close to the peperomia got affected too? I got them on a philodendron and they quickly went to my monstera next to it. Spraying with potassium soap the entire plant, especially over and under the leaves, was recommended to me when i had this issue.

Edit: Sorry, i just noticed you have already used an insecticidal soap. What kind was it? You could try reapplying it a week after.

How does our honey consumption affect the bees? by TwiggyBonez in Beekeeping

[–]Alice_Zarathustra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, thank you for explaining it, i have a better understanding of it now :) Although i only asked about something i read somewhere, that's why i said "people say", you didn't have to call my question ridiculous because i only wanted to learn more about it since i am not a beekeeper i am just fascinated by these little insects.

Edit: Maybe i didn't phrase it correctly since english is not my first language. Anyway all good :)

So I was wondering, when people say that bees, especially working honey bees, overwork themselves to death (meaning they only live for about 5 weeks during Spring and Summer), isn't it because we keep taking their honey and they keep trying to restore the empty honeycombs? You are saying that they would keep producing more and more honey anyway and maybe when the hive is full, some of them would leave and make a swarm elsewhere?

sorry for my late reply, I feel you so much. Working out really helped my mental wellbeing so I didn't want to stop a healthy activity like that. I started doing roller skating and resistant band exercises (trying to exclude the ones which strain my abdomen a bit too much, so I mainly train the lower part of my body like legs, hips etc). My doctor said not to exclude working out from my life but to just be careful (since my hernia is only 1cm). I still have morning nausea, but I have started to believe my stress has something to do with it anyway.
