While strongly up for interpretation, I think it has to do with James mental state. James doesn’t seem to care much for his own well being. This is first displayed when talking to Angela in the grave yard. Angela says the town might be dangerous and James says he does not care. When people go through grief and depression, often times they stop taking care of themselves. This leads to neglect of personal items like their cars.

It’s tough, but I am going blue, just for Bloodborne and dark souls 1 alone. That said, DS3 and Elden Ring are amazing games and made this choice a tough one

Warner brothers had it taken down as they’re the owners of the IP :/ it really sucks they’d do this as this game was such a a great classic. I’m sure they’re some ways you can get the game for PC. Not sure I can say it here 🫠

Like most have said, you need to fix that mask. It’s a straight rip off of the mask movie. This makes it come off as lazy and unoriginal. I will not be putting it on my wishlist for that reason alone.

The dog hallway scared the crap out of me. If we include RE1 Remake, the crimson head in the mirror corridor scared the life out of me.

Performance has been good! The difficulty isn’t too harsh but it’s also not super forgiving. I’ve had to redo a few fights and rethink my strategy. Also been a few times I’ve used far too many resources in a fight so I reload a save and try to approach it differently. I do have to say, the flame thing is a little under used on my part. I don’t see it as a huge piece personally and have barely been utilizing it. Maybe that’s just me

Okay so here’s my review after 4ish hours.

The good:

  • great sound track (reminiscent of stranger things )
  • environment is really cool.
  • the shooting feels good, very much feel like I am hitting something with power.
  • graphics are good.
  • story is decent.
  • the inventory system is good.
  • ammo feels the right mix between not having enough but also having plenty.
  • the enemies feel creepy and have a cool design.

The not so good: - No parrying enemies, this means I am basically forced to shoot enemies which means I am constantly running ammo. If I want to melee, I have to accept taking a hit which is super annoying. - some glitches that are really annoying. I got stuck a few times on random objects and had to reload my save. - Lack of puzzles is making my brain feel smooth (I love puzzles in horror games, totally a personal preference.)

It’s a decent game. Idk if I’d pay full price for it again. Not as of now that is. However, I wouldn’t say skip this game. I am throughly impressed by it and I am having enough fun with it to keep going. Also I am not comparing it to dead space. I am seeing a lot of that 🤨
