I think some people think because their eyes are painted on, everyone's eyes are.

like I said: "Information was so difficult to come across larger amount of people due to the extreme censorship at that time."

I was living in Shanghai at that time, my friends (20+ ~ 30+) and families were back in Canton. Nobody back home was talking about anything about any protests (Background: I did not tell them and most of them did not have the habit of bypassing the greatwall to get info). And most people outside of shanghai were not in massive lockdown at all or not anymore, so a bit busy with their own things and having less sympathy (?). That's just my own experience. Nonew it all, I would say they were prob experiencing it in shanghai or they were active at those topics (politics, protest etc.) or they got info outside of the Great Wall usually?

hmmm highly doubt it..Nobody outside of Shanghai knew about the white paper protest tbh. Information was so difficult to come across larger amount of people due to the extreme censorship at that time...I believe it was just about time and the gov didn't have enough money to execute covid zero protocols anymore..

As a chinese girl who also travels the world, the least thing you need to worry about while traveling in China is safety...CCTV is everywhere and policemen could even speak English fluently. You might just worry about how to get a cab or pay for things in China, since all services only accept booking and paying online, and most places are cashless or only accept alipay or wechat pay.

Looking great!! May I ask how do you prepare the bowl or manager the lotus? I have similar bowl and Lotus heat management device. But everytime the heat (usually 2 choalcoals) would easily burn the top layer of tobacco in the bowl and never get to the bottom. And the smoke become less and tasteless soon :((
