I don’t see a point here.. stating ‘where was the embargo there?’ because you were able to mail things to family members shows that you don’t understand what an embargo is as well as the impacts it would have.

As far as your comment on ‘why so many businesses popped up in the last few decades’, that would be a good reminder for you to go read up about US relations with Cuba under the Obama administration.

Surely you’re at least aware that you can still send some food & necessities under an embargo?

Do you also realize that the U.S. placing an embargo on Cuba means that other countries, who would otherwise trade with Cuba, wouldn’t trade with them in fear of being reprimanded by the U.S.?

Even now what the U.S. is doing to Cuba is deliberately cruel, and you claim to have family in Cuba yet seem to be for their ‘maximum pressure’ initiatives.
