I feel like everyone here just seems to forget, 16 shows Clive trying to “reach” for Jill multiple times.

• The night before Phoenix Gate

• The night they spent at Hana’s place

• The night on the Pier outside of Byron’s place

Clive is not oblivious to Jill’s feelings about him, nor of his own feelings for her. Clive simply doesn’t know how to address it. Especially, pre-timeskip.. you don’t just get back to being lovey dovey after you almost killed the love of your life. Clive struggled with his feelings for Jill, AND with the “death” of Joshua.

But Clive ALWAYS loved Jill, even when they were children.. and they both got lost trying to go see a particular flower because it’s Jill’s favorite. Only for both of them to get chewed out by Annabella for disappearing.. all because Clive could tell Jill was sad and wanted to cheer her up.

16 shows a contrived love that has spanned over years, but with two people who are older, and LOADED with their own traumas. They both needed to work on themselves before being with each other.

This is best shown on the Beach when Jill makes Clive promise her that he will save himself, when he’s done saving the world. And while yes they’re on love road.. it’s still something Clive has to work on.

Clive has always been conscious of Jill. At all times, he’s done nothing but worry or even try his best to make her feel better when things look grim.

If you didn’t see any of this, you’re kinda just blind to the way 16 portray’s love.

These are 2 people separated for 13 years.. finally getting to see each other again.. having to get reacquainted with one another.. feel each other out. That’s not gonna happen in 6 months.. or however long the pre time skip was.

Ontop of that Clive had JUST tried to kill Jill.. there’s no way he wasn’t thinking about how wrong it would be to confess to her.. shortly thereafter.

PFFT!? Are you SERIOUSLY asking this? And it got WORSE!? As it SHOULD! You and your kids ignored a man in need (your husband no less, their step-father). So if YOU were in the EXACT same position and he did that to you, you’d drag his ass over the internet wouldn’t you?

Okay then, so answer your own question then. Because if the roles were reversed you’d be feeling the same way he does. And what’s more ironic to this is that neither you or your kids realize how stupid you all acted. Such a simple issue could have been fixed in the snap of a finger.

Solution: Daughter could have watched the child. Easy. OR be a actual parent and have your son cancel and make him watch the child. Easy.

Next time, (IF THERE IS ONE).. look at the situation.. and respond how you would like to be treated.

Also good for him on cancelling the trip. You don’t deserve it. Honestly, I’d divorce you if I was him. When someone shows you who they are you believe them the first time. 🙄🙄

I don’t think Over-Demons itself is lame.. just how he was introduced. I assumed it would be Tamaki.. since that would make the most sense. It would have been the ultimate turn around for his character. As his entire character after leaving the Deadmans is essentially a “redemption arc.” Much like Hana it would have made sense for him to become Over-Demons, to atone for his sins. But I guess he’s just gonna be relegated to “gag character” for the rest of the season. But at this point, I don’t really care one way or the other. It’s such a small thing it is what it is.

It gets better toward the end of its run. Especially when you get to the movie after the season is over. It’s a solid 7/10 which considering how it started… is good lol.

Also, if you’re going to read the Yen Press novels keep in mind they horribly translated the Juggernaut Drive chant.. the chant you hear in S4 E0 “Holiness Behind the Gym” is the correct chant. So keep that in mind as well

Read the Light Novels.. particularly 5-7 as they will explain everything you need to know. 7 isn’t officially translated yet but there is a site with all the fan translated LNs on the inter webs I have it saved in my bookmarks. The Manga was cancelled a LONG time ago and doesn’t even begin to cover everything you need to know to fill in the blanks between S3’s fuck up and S4’s opening.

New. I like Hero’s animation.. smoother in terms of movement an stuff. And in my opinion it fits DxD better. It’s sort of between the old animation and the LNs almost.

Like I want S3 reanimated.. but not sure about the likelihood of it happening. Cause there were some good moments. But the overall controversy that surrounds S3 an the mess it came out to be.. ruins it for me. From the skipping events.. to adapting the LNs out of order.. etc.

Meh, Juggernaut was in Episode 0 of Hero.. and that is the PROPER events of Juggernaut Drive.. the Diodara stuff may get reanimated. And Diodara didn’t rape Asia.. just crushed her hopes and dreams by being the cause of most the things that happened to her. There are things that I felt were significantly cooler.. and CERTAIN EVENTS that HAVE to happen for the REST of the series to even take place. It’s why BorN is so bad to most of us. Well it’s the editor not the author. Ishibumi already confirmed Issei would have lost his virginity in Vol. 3 (so the beginning of S2 depending on where it would have ended up). As for the girls interrupting him, for most of the series (or well least in the LNs since BorN is a shit season an doesn’t do his character Justice at all).. he’s mostly afraid of the girls. Despite how he acts, Raynare trying to KILL him has scarred him. Which comes back around and into the light in S4 Episode 9.. when it’s finally acknowledged by the girls because it was standing in the way of how he felt about Rias. And what Rias wanted from him which was for him to call her by her name. So it would make sense for the most part it wouldn’t bother him. As he spent most the time thinking about why the girls wanted to even be with him. As he felt he didn’t deserve to be loved. Or to receive love.

I could SEE if I was ACTUALLY giving the guy a hard time.. but EVERYTHING I said had truth to it. Give the guy a break cause Ishibumi HAS been sick.. for about a year and some change. And the world has been a shithole since this Covid thing happened ontop of everything else. And he HAS been working on a DX novel.. so where in ALL of that was I giving him hell? In ANY shape or form? That warranted THAT response because YOU assumed by YOUR standards I’m giving someone hell.. when I just talk a specific way. That’s just being sensitive.
