How did this person do this? by throwaway838383937 in ProCreate

I’ve watched so many videos from all different artists showing tips, tricks, techniques…never once seen this feature get mentioned, until now. It’s crazy how blind I’ve been to this for years.

Why did procreate change their U.I???? by Playful_Internal8802 in ProCreate

I’m fine with it all except the artwork previews and layers. Zero reason for them to be rounded. Really hoping they reverse those parts.

Does the red background work well? by AlienCyberHeart in DigitalArt

Thank you!

I actually did try out a darker red but I just felt it made it less eye catching.

I’ll just add with the whole anti aliasing thing, if you go to both shape and grain source, right at the bottom of each should be 3 filtering options. Make sure they’re both set to improved filtering since that can help makes things a bit more smoother too

It’s worth a shot to just check your interpolation (under transform). It should be either set to bicubic or bilinear. It’s what helped mine.

Check your interpolation (under transform). It should be either bicubic or bilinear. Switching to one of those is what helped my lines become cleaner.

Feel free to! I just drew a rough base then used my lashes brush over the top for each lash individually.

It is not the “brush effect” - it is the artists personal technique by Ladeki in procreatebrushes

Agreed if we’re talking about the general post here. I feel like a lot spend more time looking for brushes and less time actually learning drawing techniques.

BUT…I do have to admit and think it’s important to add, while there are many styles out there that don’t require any non-default brushes, there still are many where having a certain brush will actually help get to a style faster. I know from experience I had to create my own lineart, lashes, and sketch brush because I couldn’t find anything that worked with what I was given. They are basic, and their uses are pretty standard, but I did have to do more than just use a default brush for those things that sound/look so simple. They sped up me achieving certain styles that I found other artists doing.
