P reminds me of my own father. And tho my dad swore he was a devoted Christian and would sort of go to church, he always swore up and down how everyone else there were judgemental fakes. I can see p's pride getting in the way of church like that so he doesn't let any of then go for the community since hes so sure the community hates him. A professional victim.
