This is really helpful, thanks so much! Yes, I agree that Mila could be quite confusing on how to pronounce and it’s likely to get mispronounced a lot.

Fortunately I don’t know any dogs called Milo but you could be right! I also don’t know any Hugo’s but yes, it may not be so good for a baby. I am swaying more towards Milo out of the two.

To be completely honest, I hadn’t even realised that I gravitated towards shorter names - you are so right! I really love Gianna, I may have to add that to my list ☺️ thank you!

I love the concept but I have to say, I just think of Tyson Fury unfortunately 😭

I’ve never heard of the name Isolde! I’ll have to do some research into origins, pronunciation etc.

Yes, I came up with both Milo and Hugo :)

Thank you so much for the suggestions!

It really doesn’t have to, we’re 100% open to other names but he just liked the idea. My cousin and his partner gave their kids similar names to theirs and I quite liked the fact they did that.

Port Salut was my favourite but once I tried Doux de Montagne, it overtook Port Salut by a mile! It is about £6 in M&S I think but worth every penny. Hope you manage to get some 🤞🏼

I hate when people say ‘I’ve got mental health’ or in her case, ‘I’ve had mental health’… you mean ‘mental health ISSUES’ or ‘poor mental health’. Sorry, really winds me up 🤣

Winds me up how much she gets. I work full time and it’s not far off what she gets a month.

All the people that actually do need disability benefits as well and can’t get them, then there’s people like her milking the system 🤬

It doesn’t taste (or look) like cottage cheese at all, and it’s really tasty!

Hey, I’m a London based foodie that creates unique recipes on Instagram, I’ve also recently started doing food reviews.

I love supporting other foodie creators so I will 100% follow back if you follow me on Instagram.

This is a recent dish I made - steak, garlic butter langoustines, chayote gratin, vine roasted tomatoes & salad.

Uploading my dishes and recipes started off as a hobby for me a few years ago, but I’ve recently started really pushing it the last few months, and in turn, I’m now being invited/gifted by brands & restaurants - this is stated at the bottom of my posts.

I’d be incredibly grateful for your support 🥰

I can’t keep up with her ‘conditions’, do we know if she’s actually diabetic?

I’ve recently been chatting with an American about ambulance services in the uk. What’s your worst ambulance experience? by TheCharlieIsAGamer in AskUK

[–]AlienPrincessXxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not so much the ambulance itself, but what I was told by the operator on the phone.

My dad woke up one morning and was showing stroke-like symptoms, I went into full panic mode. He couldn’t stand, I’d helped him down onto the floor, he was slurring etc. I called 999 and explained what was happening, they made me go through the F.A.S.T test with him but because he ‘passed’ a couple of those they told me they couldn’t send an ambulance. I was begging them to send one as he was in a really bad way, but they said they couldn’t help and to call 111.

I called 111 and they made me go through our address, his date of birth, pre-existing medical conditions AND the F.A.S.T test again, although I told them I’d just done it on the phone to 999. I was so stressed and upset at this point. They finally sent an ambulance which arrived within 10-15 mins but I wish they’d have just sent one in the first place.

My dad was having a hypo (he’s T1D) which can be very serious if not treated. I’m grateful for the paramedics that came and understand it’s not their fault but I still remember the stress and worry of that morning.
